I'm working on a little project at the moment and have put together a survey to get a feel for the lay of the land in software instrument world. It only takes 2 mins to complete and I would appreciate it muchly if you would take the time to do it!

It's the perfect thing to do with 'Now That's What I Call Xmas 498' on and a mince pie in hand.

Any questions feel free to give me a shout. Thanking you in advance!

Regardless of where this thread should be, good luck getting people to click on a link by somebody who's been here one day and has one post. How do I know that link won't redirect me to some virus page?

As much as I'd love to help, I don't dare click on that link. It's too dangerous out here.

Why don't you just ask your questions and maybe people will answer?

Ok apologies exmatproton, i'll close now.

Wagtunes, i just need to get it all in a google form. Thought it would be the easiest way!

Completed the survey. Didn't get any virus alert or something. Also it didn't ask me to provide my email or any other personal info
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Completed.

This survey is ridiculous. You assume that people buy everything from one company and buy instruments monthly :dog: These two alone contradict each other, too, since no company releases new stuff every month, especially not of same type.

What even are "pop" instruments? I saw something advertised as "pop" once in my life.

That aside, hopefully, he'll get something out of it. But I agree. I really don't see the point of this survey at all.

Meh, this form has lot of problems, can't see really how any input into this could be of use. The way your questions work and possible answers could be, it would require quite a high sample size to get any meaningful answers. But, I doubt your sample size will be really that big... so instead you could have opted in for a qualitative approach to at least get some meaning, unless this is a school project or something. For qualitative approach, you could just freely ask people around in these forums such questions and pick up on the answers.

Especially the way you ask "What is most important when buying software instruments?", that is just beyond me. It's as if you're doing some economics homework and you're trying to get some data for an ordinal utility function and just mask all that into a form where it's not so apparent...

Are you writing a thesis? ;)
