Yeah this was a pleasant surprise to me. I guess given ReFX and Vengeance's reputation of ubiquity in EDM music, what I was expecting when I first saw the promo for Avenger was a solid product that caters to ease of use over depth and a fairly uncommunicative 'big-time' developer. I've been using Ableton Live for years... I'm used to developers just kind of shrugging off the collective concerns of their user base. As long as the product is good enough to justify it I can live with it.

But man was I wrong about VPS. These guys have thrown my biases right back in my face and I'm thrilled about it.

I want to buy the synth but im not sure to fully understand the "download protection" ....??

You can safely discard that stuff. I had a similar question several pages back. That's just some crap that gets added in by the third party payment processing/download delivery service.

Thanx ...this is what I though !

Hi,

I`m not sure about this thing, so please enlighten me if you know :help:

The manual says:
Sync horizontal control: the horizontal control under the sync dial controls the amount of
modulation which is sent to the internal sync modulation envelope. This control has a central
position 0 (neutral, no modulation). Move it to the right and the sync dial will be positively
modulated. Move it to the left and negative modulation occurs.
Looking at the control, tooltip and at the funcions I can't see anything like described. So is it just the manual that's describing something old that got replaced until launch or is it me too dumb to not to see that it's as described?

Cheers!

I think this might have been changed.

The horizontal control - a la the slider underneath the sync knob - is the envelope length. The sync envelope amount is accessed by right click + dragging the sync knob. So it sound like those two have been swapped since the manual was written

I'm having some confusion with LFO's set to free trigger. They don't seem to be doing anything. Free trigger should mean it's always running, right? Anyone else experiencing this, or am I missing something? I have set a modulation destination and amount of course, but the LFO in trigger mode "Free" isn't effecting any change to the signal. This is in the new 1.0.27, which I just installed this morning

Edit: Actually it's just LFO1. LFO 2 works fine in free mode, and now I'm finding it was just on the particular instance I had loaded. I must have done some strange sequence of events that triggers a bug, but now I can't reproduce it. I had LFO1 in its default state, except the rate was changed, assigned to the FFT sweep. Then I changed it to free and it just stopped moving. But LFO2 works fine and on a new instance LFO1 is fine. I'll see if I can reproduce it and let the VPS guys know what's going on if I am able to

Yep, you're right here I guess. I was just searching for the horizontal control and did not match it against the dial.
Sync inner dial: the sync dial has its own small modulation envelope. This can be bent up and
down. This is set by the inner dial. The envelope is bent upwards by turning the dial past its
central position. Turning the dial left of its central position and you bend the envelope
downwards.

So "Sync inner dial" is describing the small rectangle named "curve", "Sync horizontal control" is describing the inner dial and the horizontal control bar name "Sync envelope length" isn't described at all.

Thanks!

Vengeance store has download period is short time.
we need cloud or another media for backup installer.
VST Mappings for Bitwig
--Bitwig 5/ Live10 Suite/ Maschine/ HP X360 8Core--

At http://register.vps-avenger.com/ the downloads (Avenger + Expansions) will be there forever, the backup media and download protection is a Share-It service. Nothing to do with Vengeance Sound's service at the site i mentioned.

Post

download protection is just share it srevice. Dont pay for it. You will get unlimted registration and downloads so no need to worry about extra protection

Hey guys.

Question: is there a way to have an oscillator routed to multiple filter modules in parallel or do I need to use the filter in the send rack? Thanks

No way for now, no filter in the send rack too, duplicate you osc for parallel things. i hope it will be implement in a futur update

here is how to do it in serial. Dont know how to do it parallel. Adding filters in fx still is serial ´and send rack dont allow filters, even if it did filters cant come after send fx or fx

Shoot, you're right. I saw it in the inserts and must have assumed it was also a send. That's unfortunate. The extra osc isn't such a big deal for me - my CPU won't mind an extra oscillator or two, but copy & pasting an oscillator doesn't reproduce the modulation, so you have to redo that by hand.

This was my biggest complaint about Serum, the lack of routing flexibility with the filters. At least Avenger gives you enough oscillators and filters to work around it.

Well, I guess I'll go on living anyway :D
Also, Merry Christmas
