To celebrate the season and the release of CPA 12.6.3 beta for PC there is free registration until midnight 12 eastern time.

All you have to do is:

Download at: http://www.chordwarepa.com/chordwarepa_004.htm

PM me your Authorization Code found at menu item: Help>License - 2nd window after clicking 'Buy'.

Check your PM tomorrow for the Activation Code. (It needs to be generated manually at the present for security reasons).

Remember, the deadline is midnight.

The website will give you plenty of info about the program, and you can download the documentation separately to help you decide if it will be useful to you.

Cheers,

Steve

P.S. It requires a Midi driver to be installed.

Thanks Pete, glad I stumbled on your generous give-away! Does the beta become full version when ready??

Thanks tatanka,

The problem was that it looks for a Midi driver on startup.

I probably should not let that error message halt the program, but rather should just provide info about it.

Regards,

Steve

You are welcome :)

An update is here which improves 'Stretch' and enables your computer keyboard to be played like a piano keyboard.

http://www.chordwarepa.com/chordwarepa_002.htm

There is a big difference using this Midi stretch from using an audio stretch, of course. Not to say it can be better - a quality comparison makes no sense between different kinds of software.

With this, the amount of stretch depends on the section length using a section divider. And it can be limited to a section and channel(s) selected, and/or a note group drag-selected on a grid. The default selection for stretch is all including channel 10.

This is in BETA so i'd appreciate hearing from you about how its working, or about any bugs or errors. Also, I'm wondering how using the skins compare to the 'No Skin' option for your system. Does it perform slow for some skins? Thanks in advance!

Oh, and being that its black friday before Christmas, and this needs testing, the licence is free again until midnight. See the original post.

Oh, and remember to activate your router before the start up!

Best Regards,
Steve

thanks for update, I hope more people will notice the give away today so you can get more feedback

Why activate router before start up?

I would like to see version number in installer file name if possible for future updates.

I downloaded latest and chose Install, but I only get options to Modify, Repair, or Remove.
I chose Modify.

The new version number for the installer! :dog: I had a feeling I forgot something.

Thanks. Maybe that options window will at least make it a little easier to 'remove' the old and install the new by double-clicking the download.

The reason to make sure your router is activated is that it gives an error message without it. (the code for Midi-input is very complicated but it works) I was considering having a router or Midi device come with the program, but need to look into how its done without any conflicts with the one you already have. (One more thing to add to the list).

Yes, I too hope more will take notice.
I feel that some features options are unique and cannot easily be duplicated (such as the on-point pattern generation) because of the way this has evolved...

Hey Boone, I'm guessing the browser or your computer's security is preventing the download. Is it readable? What does it say?

Its just another thing to add to the list - buy Ggl's acceptance for the installer I suppose.

If you have any questions about any feature just post or PM.

Thanks to all for your interest.

Edit:
Remember that a lot of its functionality is hidden in popup menus and mouse options, so check hints.
