Thanks! :D

I'd still like to try this meter. all the versions posted crashed on validation with Logic Pro. Youlean wasn't able to get it working for me. Does anyone else have this running ok on Logic Pro X? I have no problems with other plugins. It also doesn't work with other AU apps I use (VOX, Audio Hijack).

Thanks guys!

Please be patient. I am working on it. I will let you know when the fix comes out.

No GUI is drawn:

Other plugins do not have this instantiation issue which leads me to believe it's a problem with YLM. Windows 10 v1607, Studio One v3.3.2.

Thanks.
Thanks. I will check this out.
I just wanted to add: this bug only occurs with the VST3 version of YLM.

Congrats on the win.

I've been absent for a while but took the time to check DC and this was the only one i actually voted for. It's by far the best freebie I've tried of this type. I've been doing a lot of mastering/remastering this year and this has proven to be an essential tool for getting consistent levels when working on several tracks.

There's a couple of feature requests i'd like to make and some minor bug reports but i'll leave that till another day.

For now though, big ups!

YLM 1.04 works fine here in Logic 10.2.2, Live 9.6 (as AU) and likewise in Studio One 3.3.2 – all in Mac OS Mavericks 10.9.5, MB Air 2013.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

What's the difference btw this meter and ToneBooster's one?

Congrats for the first place.

It's free! ;-)

I haven't tried ToneBooster's yet, nor the new HorNet one.

Yes, congratulations to Youlean! Well deserved for such a useful plug-in.

Thanks for all the hard work Youlean, works and looks great, a rare combination in anything free.

I can answer that:

ToneBoosters:
- fixed presets (no custom reference level)
- no UI resize
- two versions
- Histogram Function for EBU Loudness
- as of v3.0.7 (didn't update in a while), based upon ITU-R BS.1770-3 specs
- super low budget
- cross platform release

Youlean:
- custom reference level
- custom "scale" settings
- UI resize
- Histogram Function
- as of v1.0.4, uses ITU-R BS.1770-4 specs
- freeware
- cross platform release

I've yet to test Hornet LU Meter. Therefore I can't say how accurate it is, or which ballistics it's using (MLk/SLk, don't know), or why it uses a stereo bargraph. But the concept is not an all-purpose meter like both ToneBoosters EBU Loudness/Compact or Youlean Loudness Meter, but a "quick setup tool" for album/podcast mastering with the Loudness Normalization (Auto Gain) feature.

I cannot load this VST3 plug-in on Cubase 9 because it goes to blacklist. I don't know why.

Mac/Windows?

OK, here is the first try to fix this AU crash.
Please download this version and tell me if it is still crashing. Use this only if you couldn't load/validate AU in your DAW.
