Just seen this on the news. Feck me these stars are dropping like flies, so young makes one feel old! Another shocker tbh, still very young by todays stats.

Bets on for number #1 in the charts next week.

Why would someone's time be up at age 53, in the West?

Much too young. Not a big fan, but he had some really good songs. Talented songwriter. RIP... :(

I do not want to speculate.

But getting a heavy cancer diagnosis, it doesn't matter if you are just 50, you may be gone in 6 months :(

Then again his partner died of AIDS, and he has had a series of illnesses the last few years that can be AIDs related (eg Pneumonia)

I am just saying there are no guarantees in life, even in this modern world.

My brother had a cardiac arrest when he was 53. Like a bolt from the blue, luckily he survived. But had it happened when he was alone, he might not have...

He just died.. it's to much asking to stop those undignified comments in a RIP thread? What's wrong with you guys?

I hate it when musicians of my generation die, it is like a warning sign to me as well, saying: listen pal, you won't live forever, either, your days are numbered :P

Excatly!

So the conclusion is to live like a bon vivant, live for today, tomorrow may be too late

Yep. Pretty much. Ironically tragic, I was discussing "Last Christmas" just yesterday in another thread. Never dreamed it would be the Last Christmas for the author. So sad. RIP George. I love Careless Whisper too.
