yes, it just doubles (or divides when switching to 1/8 or 1/4) the speed. you'd have to edit your pattern manually.
So then basically your pattern has to be re-written if you built it in a 16th note grid and want to add some 32nd notes? So you need to start at the grid resolution you want to stay with... Or you'll have to move to the host sequencer...

yep, that's right. just tried it.

Hi there! My name is Matthew Fudge and I'm the developer of Revolution with Wave Alchemy. Glad to see the interest in the product and I'll reply to your points below.

So I thought the slop was per drum, no? Seems like it's a global thing from the videos. Also, about changing the grid resolution - If I've created a beat with the grid at 16th notes and switch over to 32nd notes, it won't double in speed will it? Correct the slop happens globally per step. Although this can limit programming after deeply testing this we felt the creative advantage of being able to work quickly outweighed this. Generally when you want to hear a flam it makes sense to apply this to all the drums. One exception however is the Kick drum. Slop is never applied to it and it always stays in time.
Echoes in the Attic wrote: Anyways - Looks like a great Classic Drum Machine to end all classic drum machines in the box. I may very well pick it up. Oh and does it allow you to purge unused samples? I'm not really sure how that works in Kontakt... but it seems like usually you'd only be using a tiny few samples out of the bunch in any given kit.
P.S. Sorry I'm not able to download the demo currently, hence the questions while the intro price is going on.
Correct. Any unnecessary samples are completely purged in the background. If you have a modern SSD you can also go for ultra fast loading times by setting your Kontakt DFD buffer to the smallest setting which will only be a few hundred mb.

This is true. We've been convinced to bring back the modules :) Glad to hear there is a demand and please let us know any features you would like to see for this. We're hoping of releasing this update in the next few months at the v1.1 update and any feedback here on what users used the most would be appreciated.

Need to check more reviews... So far looks great!

I got it at a very attractive upgrade price (from Digital Revolution and Transistor Revolution) immediately on release, but, as it has only been 2 days, I've only spent maybe an hour with it. Still, I've been very happy so far, and have no reason to doubt it won't be a great addition to what I already had (particularly multi-lane sequencer and midi drag-and-drop; I think those are particularly key additions).

What is the last 32 bit version of Kontakt player that will accept the demo librarie of revolution?. I'm still on logic 9 and my 32 bit version of Kontakt 5 player won't accept the demo, says I need to update it, but then I can't use it if the update is 64bit. Anyone?

Just a single drum version of the GUI that can select any drum module in Revolution, with any settings that is per drum from the full layout, like insert effects (I guess you could include sends but that would more likely be provided by what the container it is inside of so i don't think it's necessary) and the main shaping controls. Obviously don't need sequencer or mixer etc. Also it would be good to include nki presets of all the different modules for easy browsing in Maschine (or Kontakt). And variations wouldn't hurt of course with different effects settings. This will be a dream for Maschine users or other drum rack users.

Can anyone confirm if the revolution can be used in 32 bit with logic?

Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, I think Revolution cannot be used 32 bit in Logic. The manual says Kontakt (or Kontakt Player) 5.6.5 is required (as well as OS X 10.10 or greater). I'm pretty sure Kontakt 5.6.5 is 64-bit only on Mac (although still available 32-bit on Windows).

I'm not 100% sure that 5.6.5 is 64-bit only (I am 64-bit in Logic X, so it's not an issue I had to think about), bit you should definitely investigate closely before purchasing if that's an issue for you.

Yes, I believe you are correct. Kontakt 5/ Kontakt player 5 V5.6.5 64 bit is the only version that will load the revolution library. Well that really sucks. I hate these libraries being forced into native instruments stuff. I wish WA would have made their own "true" version of this product. So i will confirm....UNLESS YOU ARE USING A 64BIT VERSION OF KONTAKT 5, THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK (MAC/LOGIC).

I'm trying to drag and drop midi but I can't figure out what you put your curser on to drag and drop. Maybe because I'm in demo mode while downloading the full version?

maybe because you didn't RTFM? :hihi: (it's on page 7, and also shown in the tutorial videos on the product page.)

you need to click on "MIDI (MIDI Build)" up at the top, then drap/drop from the three little circles next to that.

It's nice to see that someone paid to put a library on Kontakt Player. Thanks W.A. - I still think NI made a big mistake with that game.

Thanks for that jbuonacc. I was actually looking at the manual but I guess I did more skimming than reading.
Much appreciated :tu:
