Can you run multiple modules at once combining the different drum machines in one instance eg. hats from the Oberheim, 808 BD and 909 Snare?

Dumb question but wow! is Revolution supposed to be twice as wide as the other kontakt libaries? Looks weird with all this empty black space left next to the other libraries I have in kontakt.

Why do the other ones have black space? Do you have them loaded in the same instance?dblock wrote:Dumb question but wow! is Revolution supposed to be twice as wide as the other kontakt libaries? Looks weird with all this empty black space left next to the other libraries I have in kontakt.

That's exactly my question EchoesEchoes in the Attic wrote:Why do the other ones have black space? The reason for this is that we used Kontakt's brand new screen resolution which became available in the latest version of Kontakt. I believe we are one of the very first developers to take advantage of this. We think this is a great thing and gives much more space on the graphical interfacedblock wrote:Dumb question but wow! is Revolution supposed to be twice as wide as the other kontakt libaries? Thanks for explaining that. At least now I know there isn't something wrong going on with Kontakt. Much more space is an understatement. I love the Revolution gui. Absolutely beautiful but I hate the visual contrast it creates dwarfing the other Kontakt library gui's. Makes everything else look puny cut off and harder to see ( I realize that's not wave Alchemy's problem). I'll just give Revolution it's own instance of Kontakt for now until the other Kontakt plugins decide to go bigger. I hope they do eventually.wave alchemy wrote:The reason for this is that we used Kontakt's brand new screen resolution which became available in the latest version of Kontakt. Any all-around impressions of the machine yet from early adopters?
Also, what are the main advantages of this kind of thing over sampling WA drumsets within a drum sequencer? Is it a bit quicker in terms of workflow?
Super intrigued by this thing!

It'll be interesting to see whether any existing Kontakt instruments do get updated with a larger ui. Very few, if any I would guess.dblock wrote:I'll just give Revolution it's own instance of Kontakt for now until the other Kontakt plugins decide to go bigger. I hope they do eventually.

I don't know about that. Wave Alchemy may have actually raised the bar. If I was selling products, I'm not sure I'd want my stuff to look so small against something like that in the same interface. I'm no techie to be sure but I'm gonna guess that it wouldn't be that hard to update products to that size. They may have already been simply making their current products up to the limits of Kontakt to this point. Have to change with the times. Whether the vst companies would want to is another story. Maybe it would cause other issues with their plugins.I don't know.kingtubby wrote:It'll be interesting to see whether any existing Kontakt instruments do get updated with a larger ui. Prior to the recent update all Kontakt instruments had to be a fixed width, whatever that is in pixels. Now it's possible add what appears to roughly a third extra in width.

What are some distinctions between this and Spark 2?

If I could make a suggestion already I would say add some additional pages/tabs for extending the sequencer length. I'd usually work in the 32nd note mode which means that a sequence could only be 1 bar long, which is too repetitive. It would be good to have at least a second sequencer page so that the sequence. Oils be 2 bars longer. Copy and paste between sequence pages or doubling the sequence would be a great feature too.

this can already be done. check the manual or the sequencing tutorial video.Echoes in the Attic wrote:... Copy and paste between sequence pages or doubling the sequence would be a great feature too.

I'm talking about copying and pasting between sequencer pages within the same sequence, which don't exist, so it's not possible to paste into pages which don't exist.jbuonacc wrote:this can already be done. check the manual or the sequencing tutorial video.Echoes in the Attic wrote:... You're right thought that the duplicate function is already there, which I'm sure would work if there were 64 steps over two pages as well.
