Yep, we pay a levy on each cd-r or mp3 player sold - because the assumption is all of these products are exclusively used for stolen music. So in Canada, if you use these products you might as well have stolen music on them - you paid extra for the right.
of course our recording industry takes a different view of the law. They think we should pay the levy + throw us in jail for using Kazaa!
