(finding enough 20 year-olds for a test, who actually care, is another topic)
Hehehe, don't underestimate experience and focus. I recently identified a synth by artifacts not even our student (I think he's 23) could hear. Once I used an EQ they became audible to him. They were also in the spectrum - if you knew what to look out for.

Just to get beack to Bazille for a little bit:

One held note send to two instances of Bazille through VintageVerb:

Try that with a Synthex or a Prophet 5 :hihi:
Also please excuse the demo noise at the end :hihi:

Here is an idea for a Berlin/Paris cooperation project:

BaXils

Analogous to the Dark Zebra expansion, it would be an expansion for Bazille that incorporates modules from the Putney (courtsey of XILS).

Hmm Synthex emulation confirmed in Diva 2 boys
Not exactly a faithful emulation. I don't care about the joystick, the sequencer and the confusing LFOs. I only care about the oscillators and the filter. And I won't care about them before 2018.
Haha, take that purists! Perfect!

You're probably right, your emu is probably the most authentic one, also probably because it's the only one. That however does not undo a whole lot of mistakes that were done. I have been tempted to send your developer an email with a list of things he overlooked or simply got wrong, but then I didn't feel like he'd be very grateful about it.

That's a big fat internet "like".

It is quite amazing and also refreshing to see devs being so passionate about their products, that they resemble myself and whyterabbit bickering :D :tu:

But as we all know there are more than one way to Rome

To each their own I guess. I think Bazille looks cool and has a fun interface, and it is pretty easy to work with, but it just doesn't create the types of sounds I am going for. It is fun to geek out with, but not that practical for the type of music I make. If I could swap my Bazille CM for Repro~1 I would gladly do so, as I found that incredibly musical.

I do understand how the relatively low learning curve is intimidating (I used only presets exclusively for almost a year) - but it is a small learning curve. For me, it's my most creative synth - and I know it all boils down to how we individually relate to the UI and flow.

Just taking this back to the OP because frankly this thread lost its way just a tad with the bickering.

TBH, I think it's a mistake to sell Bazille and especially for such low prices. It really is a unique vst synth at the moment, and took modular softsynth attempts up a few notches when it was released.

Since its release, a number of excellent sound designers have also provided sound sets for it, such as The Unfinished, LeapIntoTheVoid and ZenSound.
Even if, like me, some people are a little intimidated by all the features of Bazille, these sound designers have created wonderful patches which a design novice (such as myself) can spring off from.

So yep, to answer the OP's question, I think Bazille is a misunderstood synth. I know when I sold it (because I was desperate for money at the time) that I wanted to buy it back ASAP.
Thank you for the kind words.
Currently there are seven sound sets for Bazille from Leap Into The Void and I'm working on a eighth as I type :)
To me it is one of the most inspiring synths to work with.

Looking at u-he site there are 20 sound sets mentioned for Bazille so Indeed there seems to be a lot to choose from, whether understanding it or not.

Now that is a synth I'd figure very few people would even get as not a lot of people are into modular synths as opposed to something like a Sylenth1, Spire or even a Hive or Diva. That totally stuns the hell out of me. And this is a synth without an internal browser that, on certain DAWs, won't even load 3rd party sounds.
If you don't mind me asking -- what's your number 1 selling library?

My number 1 selling library is no surprise. It's Serum by almost 2 to 1 over 2 through 5. Steve must be doing a great business over there. In fact, I wonder how many people DON'T have Serum?

I don't have Serum, but I do have many other synth plugins.
