Wow! I thought it would be way older! Wasn't Sylenth even a synthedit synth at the beginning?

Maybe because people with DUNE2 spend more time making music than making videos?exmatproton wrote:Maybe that's because S1 is 19366 years old??C-note wrote:Sylenth1 WINS!

Ok, so a comparable synth that is older than Sylenth1, at least 19367 is Synth1 and has 5,800 hits - you're theory is incorrect.exmatproton wrote:Maybe that's because S1 is 19366 years old??C-note wrote:Sylenth1 WINS!

It was no theory, but a question...C-note wrote:Ok, so a comparable synth that is older than Sylenth1, at least 19367 is Synth1 and has 5,800 hits - you're theory is incorrect.exmatproton wrote:Maybe that's because S1 is 19366 years old??C-note wrote:Sylenth1 WINS!

S1 is just imensely popular + it is not the youngest one. Also, your search function is bit vague...i mean; "Dune 2 synapse-audio.com" isn't a comparable search term to 'just' "Sylenth1".
Zebra 2 got 55.000.000 hits....

As I remember the GUI was done with synthedit at first but all the internal codes in C/C++, Anyway, I think the prototype was done in synthedit (like Massive in Reaktor), but then it was coded independently.chk071 wrote:Yes. Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Obviously, since Sylenth1 is unique and not like all the rest even in name, plugs like Dune and Zebra need to have additional search parameters to differentiate the musical instrument from a Film or an animal.exmatproton wrote:It was no theory, but a question...C-note wrote:Ok, so a comparable synth that is older than Sylenth1, at least 19367 is Synth1 and has 5,800 hits - you're theory is incorrect.exmatproton wrote:Maybe that's because S1 is 19366 years old??C-note wrote:Sylenth1 WINS!

Do you have a link for the Galbanum DUNE 2 wavetables ? Can't seem to find them on the site. Or did you mean the Galbanum Waveforms ?surreal wrote:I bought the Galbanium wavetables for Dune2.

I got the Galbanum wavetables in WAV format that i was able to use in e.g. Tone2 Icarus and UVI Falcon but did not find in DUNE 2 format yet. DUNE 2 uses it's own file format, not WAV.Teksonik wrote:Do you have a link for the Galbanum DUNE 2 wavetables ? Can't seem to find them on the site. The WAV wavetables contain up to 256 waveforms and AFAIK it is not possible to have this amount in DUNE 2.5 yet.
Here is a link at the Galbanum website:
http://www.designersound.com/waveforms- ... table.html
They say it is compatible with DUNE 2.5 but this would be only possible if they also include the additional files for the DUNE 2 format. I was not able to import the WAV wavetables in the DUNE 2.5 plugin.
I als0 got the single WAV files format here and that would offer an option to create the DUNE 2 wavetables while it would take ages to create all those from the single waveforms.
In the dedicated thread about the Galbanum wavetables i did not find a hint that the wavetables are now available in DUNE 2 format:

Sure, and that's why it isn't a good search term. The two aren't comparable that way. That's why i put it Zebra 2 as well, to show that search terms aren't everything. Nor can they be filtered in any sensible way, so....yeah. Loads of the Sylenth1 search results are torrent sites, trackers, etc..and because it is so popular (and old) changes are a good amount of those results are nothing more then that.C-note wrote:Obviously, since Sylenth1 is unique and not like all the rest even in name, plugs like Dune and Zebra need to have additional search parameters to differentiate the musical instrument from a Film or an animal.exmatproton wrote:It was no theory, but a question...C-note wrote:Ok, so a comparable synth that is older than Sylenth1, at least 19367 is Synth1 and has 5,800 hits - you're theory is incorrect.exmatproton wrote:Maybe that's because S1 is 19366 years old??C-note wrote:Sylenth1 WINS!
