Hello Lotuzia,

thank you for your answer, but I can't get it to work.
I open a init patch, switch to the polysequencer, uncheck velocity if checked, edit is checked and when I now click into the sequencer to set a note, nothing happens with the voice button. No green light.

When I load a sequencer patch, let it play and then take out all notes from a voice and set them again it also doesn't work.

Hopefully you can follow my words. My English is not very good.

Just purchased this today. Another great XILS synth to add to my collection.

Found what I think may be a bug but could simply be the way it was designed.

Assigned aftertouch to filter cutoff. Works fine. However, if I turn on the sequencer and apply that same aftertouch, there is no effect. Aftertouch as a mod source does not work with the sequencer running.

As intended or is this in fact a bug?

Aftertouch on the arp works in a rather odd way. When first applied, it works. However, after a certain amount of time (appears to be a few seconds) even while still pressing down on the key, the aftertouch effect stops.

Again, don't know if this is a bug or the way it was programmed. But with the sequencer on, aftertouch doesn't work at all.

I'm going to test this with both the arp and the sequencer on and see what happens.

It appears that with the ARP running, putting on the sequencer disables the ARP and once again, aftertouch doesn't work.

HellOo Roman, hmmm sorry it still doesnt work. If there's a bug, it seems not easy to decipher it with some forum help alone. What I'd suggest you should do :

Email Xils directly using the 'contact us' utility of the site, and don't forget to join : Your OS/Daw system & versions, and PolyKB version as well. Also a description as complete as possible of the things you do ( 1/ I do this, and something happens 2/ then I do that, and the result is that I see this 3/ I do this etc) ( I know it's difficult, and cumbersome, but it might help Xils to understand what happens, and when/if somthing fails) And finally join a patch example of a sequence not working, again so that xils can see what could have been wrong.( Note : You can export a patch by simply choosing the patch export function at the end of the dropdwon list of the currently selected patch, when you click on it's name)

The PolySequencer is a very complex item, especially because it can be used in numerous different ways. That's why I think more details than usually are necessary so that we can help you.

I often just play with this synth just for pleasure, so many possibilities now with the great morphing oscillators, stacks of LFO and dual filters! Great upgrade price and policy, thanks to Xils and Co.!
Glad you find it so inspiring. Thanks :)

It's easy to have a great sounding synth these days, but a bit hard to find a synth which is truly a pleasure to play with. PolyKB III is certainly one of them and I'm so glad for having it on Xmas, it's just the right time. Paired with the Pianoteq Grotrian piano model, it's everything I wish from Santa.
Thanks. PolyKB has many many features that allow it to be as subtle and expressive, or as radical, as one wish.

As a side note : This makes it different vs synthesizers whose conceptors spend a lot of time deciding if they should add velocity or aftertouch, or not, to a vintage emulation for example. No approach is better in se than antother though , it's just choices made, and Xils has choosen to mary the vintage sound with exclusive and musical innovations ... a long time ago.

Another side note : Xils-Lab is at the moment a bit overwhelmed with support, due to the unexpected success of the PolyKB III (not totally unexpected tbh, because hope there always is, ... but definitely not to this point.) So, if a question cannot be answered atm as fast as we would wish to do so, we apologize in advance, and hope you'll understand.

Thanks Lotuzia. Just curious. Were you able to duplicate this on your end?

Yes I can more/less confirm this (Aftertouch + Arpeggiator)

It will work, maybe during a 'cycle', or a few seconds, then stop working, even if you maintain the pressure on the keys. Then, if you release pressure, then put it again, aftertouch will work again.( So seems it needs to reset totally before it affect sound again as specified) So a turnaround is simply to release aftertouch then put it again, but we certainly have to investigate more about this, to offer if only a precise answer, or a bug fix. Good find :tu:
