The manual is wrong in some details or not mentioning things - though it's doing it in most cases. Propably this happened sometime between writing the manual, going from beta to public and changings in the last updates.
But I guess everybody is happy that the DEV-Team focusses on the plugin itself and debugging/adding features for now.
I'm sure there will be a revised version in the next weeks/months.

When using the drum sequencer, do we have to open a new instance of Avenger for more than 16 bar sequences? It's not really clear for me what to do here.
It would be neat if we could load and trigger different sequenses for different keys with the same drumset and that way build a song from one instance of Avenger.

switching patterns is planned for an update
however the drumsequencer is not meant to replace your DAW piano roll, its mostly there for live playing the SQ (Sequence) Sounds

Yes, but really cool if we could make a setup with a keyzone of maybe up to 12 keys triggering 12 chosen sequences.
Even more cool live playing and really neat when making a song in the DAW.
One track with one instance of Avenger holding all the notes for intro, verse, chorus etc.
Trying the demo at the moment, but i'm affraid have to buy it

For me, it won't add something extra. My DAW's pianoroll possibilties are way more advanced then anything that could be implemented in Avenger on the short term. So i am using the pianoroll for sequencing, like it should, imho. If Avenger was a stand alone application, i would get the request.olepro wrote:Yes, but really cool if we could make a setup with a keyzone of maybe up to 12 keys triggering 12 chosen sequences.

Since that isn't the case, it would only cost costly manhours and possible breaking of an already very complete synth.

I understand, and i allways did it like this myself, but now Avenger has this amasing drum sequencer i think it would be an obvious feature to trigger the different parts of the song with one key.
But well, now i said it, and it is out of my hands

I've seen people earlier in the thread talking about Avenger being CPU hungry. Am I crazy or is Avenger actually ridiculously light? Especially for the amount of modules being used at any one time. I'm working on a song that's basically just a Drum Rack in Ableton and several instances of Avenger... plus a few Ableton devices and a handful of FX from u-he and Soundtoys... and my CPU is at like 15-17%.
Maybe some of this is because I'm using way fewer inserts after Avenger than I normally would on other synths, given its crazy suite of internal effects.
