This should be fixed with the v1.1.1 update. If you have a registered version up and running, no need to install this update (nothing else has changed).bmanic wrote:.. so, anybody else have this thing crashing after Authorizing it?
I just purchased a copy and after entering the license key and hitting activate, Reaper crashes.. and now refuses to open the plugin any more.
EDIT: Very strange. I copied the .DLL file again from the ZIP archive and this time also added the .vst3 plugin version to the correct place and now it all works as intended. Very strange indeed.

Unfortunately it is not that simple! Most manufacturers do typically not publish such data, and even if they do, they are often heavily polished or measured in undefined conditions. We unfortunately can only rely on precise and repeated measurements of the cans.lolilol1975 wrote:So guys, if you want to see your cans added, I suggest you point djeroen to the freq response curve and all the tech characteristics of your cans. It will save him the time/hassle to look for it.

@djeroen: Would it be possible to add Sony MDR-7510?

I'm sure the list will keep on growing with future updates...

I have to admit that I haven't fully grasped the purpose of Morphit yet.
Is it meant to improve the frequency response my current cans? Or is it intended to simulate the frequency response of another set of cans on, say, my Etymotic in-ears?
Do I have any use at all for Morphit if my cans are not in the list of models? If so, what kind of use?
I see my open-air phones on the list (Sennheiser HD 600) but not my very common Sennheiser HD 25-1 II and its sister model Amperior, which is my go-to when playing and recording live, thanks to their isolation characteristics.

^ Morphit is 1st of all there to correct! so if you want to do that, you need to have your model in the list...
then, you can simulate if you want.
When working with sound, it's mandatory to hear EXACTLY what is there, otherwise you will tend to over-compensate and "ruin" your mix/master with decisions based on "ghost" freqs/sounds
Even-though software like this help, you still need to help it a bit more since the drivers/speakers are fairly different from unit to unit especially towards the high freqs.

So, I have to keep nagging Jeroen to include Sennheiser HD 25-1 II/Amperior…

Sadly this plugins profiles dont sound very good on my cans. Sonarworks removes my dt880-250 6-10khz treble peaks making them sound pleasant and me abtle to play them loud without pain like the hd 650 (they're still inferior to the senns) while this plugin really doesn't .I wonder how/if at all were the measurements obtained? On dt880 most of the offensive peaks remain and hd 650 correction doesn`t sound nowhere near as good as the sonarworks.
So basically based on my experience this plugin is sadly useless and sucks

you might want to check the latest updates and settings. The correction curves across both plugins for DT880 are actually quite similar if Morphit is set to simulate consumer HiFi headphones. However, for studio use that mode is not recommended.hlmst wrote:Sadly this plugins profiles dont sound very good on my cans. I'd recommend people give it a test if their headphones are supported - I tried it on a $20 pair of Sennheiser HD201's and the difference is jaw-dropping. Will be buying this ASAPhlmst wrote:So basically based on my experience this plugin is sadly useless and sucks

My $35 Sennheiser HD202's sound like my KRK VXT6s with this plugin!AegisPrime wrote:I'd recommend people give it a test if their headphones are supported - I tried it on a $20 pair of Sennheiser HD201's and the difference is jaw-dropping. Will be buying this ASAP
@djeroen - if possible, can you add the Sennheiser HD595s? They don't like being upstaged by the 202's.

@djeroen
Would you consider adding the Audio-Technica ATH-M40X?
This model is quite popular and differs significantly in the bass range from the ATH-M50X.
