RIP Rick.
As someone pointed out in a similar thread - a whole generation is passing. Expect the same for the next few years...

Was lucky to bump into him once in the late '80s. He was wandering round Soho in London with a dry-cleaned Status Quo jacket over his shoulder looking for his photo-shoot and was completely lost, so he asked me for directions.
His intro was classic, "I'm Rick Parfitt from Status Quo, I'm looking for such-and-such" (don't remember the place now). I thought it was funny as it was only three or four years after Live Aid - they were still pretty famous, plus the embossed jacket kind of gave it away! Seemed a nice chap to me.
