No, it can't. If you want that feature, go with Serum. For the kind of music you're going to do, it is arguably the most popular synth that can import custom samples and wavetables.

It currently doesn't but it is a promised update. Ofc, no one buys software based on promises.

WHat about Avenger?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

WT engine simply isn't as good as Serum's. Nowhere near as smooth. Avenger is more an all around synth and a damn good one, but for what he wants to do, I'd go with Serum because it specializes in that stuff.

Yep, good points. I wouldn't really care yet about mastering plugins either. The built-in stuff for most DAW's should more than do for the start.

My advice: Don't buy stuff you don't need. Reaper's got plenty of decent built in effects for mixing. Concentrate more on producing music, and worry about mixing and mastering at a later time once you feel you need better gear. Also buy stuff at discount rather than full price. It means you wait before purchasing, rather than impulse buying gear you don't need (gear acquisition syndrome).

Native instruments does 50% sales, at least once a year (usually black friday) so wait before buying.

There are plenty of sales on at the moment. For example, Dune 2, Sylenth1, LuSH-101, Spire are all on sale.
Melda is on a 50% sale (on everything) a.t.m. So in that aspect it is quite a good choice.

For Future and Dubstep you have two real choices - Massive and Serum. Serum is newer, better and constantly supported.

No one mentioned Icarus, a great synth! :)

I can also recommend Rapid. It can't import WAV files or wavetables yet, but they did mention it is on their list of features they want to add.

Even with 50% off, 750 Euros is a lot of money to waste on stuff you don't need.
Ow..i agree :hihi:

... of having no insert or feedback path, or even parallel filtering. I don't know where the idea of Serum being a replacement, much less an upgrade, for Massive came from, but once we exit the arguably outstanding wavetable designer, I can name 15 things Massive does that Serum can't.
