With MTotalBundle you'll never need to waste time thinking about effects again, it covers all bases and the unified interface removes the usability overhead caused by assorted plugins. I only have the upgraded MFree bundle, and I use several plugins from it all the time.
Effects are of tertiary importance in the hierarchy of tools, solving them all in one single, high quality stroke with free lifetime updates was not a bad decision.

Me neither, I'd recommend the TB Essentials pack for mixing and mastering (basically for the reverb and compressors), MJUC if you need a coloring compressor, a Computer Music Magazine for the limiter, spectrum analyzer and some fun synths like Bazille and Dune CM, and some kind of all-round synth like Avenger. There is no need really to spend that amount of money, you'll probably do it because of thinking that you are buying great stuff that will allow you to create amazing tracks. Just my opinion, for sure, but with the price of Komplete you can buy everything above and much more.egbert101 wrote:MTotalBundle 750 Euros [Half Price]Robmobius wrote:Komplete is pretty much everything you need.
Komplete £479 [Full Price]
Massive £129 [Full Price]
All he needs is his DAW (Reaper) and Massive (wait perhaps for the 50% sale).
Maybe it's just me who isn't made of money.
Anyway, I think Komplete is great. The Melda effects, just make sure to try them first because their GUIs are not for everyone (I don't really like them), but 750 for somebody starting is a bit overkill. Massive, old but good.

Personally, I think the OP made some good choices for himself.
Though Sytrus is hard to learn, it has a great amount of presets that could be used for future bass, mostly free. Harmless is a great tool when you want a little more from your subtractive synth. Harmor & Mpowersynth are hefty tools... but in time, synthwise, you could possibly do all with those 2. Probably Mpowersynth is gonna be the most hefty on the CPU.
Mtotal probably has a lot that most people wouldnt use... however... they are perfect for when you need a tool to do a specific thing. Its kind of better to go for that bundle than to fuss around with less equivalent tools. They all have the same type of interface, same features, so the thought process wont change too much when you're mixing/mastering.
I think in that perspective he's chosen a lot but you won't have to keep buying and updating for awhile. The Melda plugins are free to update. And FL studo synths are so robust that you wont really need one. Congrats!!

The Melda bundle might seem like a great idea, but there is going to be a lot of stuff that one is unlikely to use. Furthermore, except for in a few possible cases, it's not going to stop people gas'ing for other plugs, from other companies.Saukar30 wrote:I think in that perspective he's chosen a lot but you won't have to keep buying and updating for awhile.
I think that there are so many options these days, often with very low asking prices, that make buying à la carte a much more exciting, and cheaper, idea

I'd say the same... I have Komplete 8 (and I think it's great value package), but I've barely touched it since I've built up my 3rd party collection of plugins and synths. And I've no real intention of upgrading at the moment, as I don't really want anything else they have at the moment.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: I think that there are so many options these days, often with very low asking prices, that make buying à la carte a much more exciting, and cheaper, idea
Or I have equivalents from other software. But it's a taste thing really... Their stuff is good but I just prefer other stuff. Especially with the latest batch of soft synths.

Yeah mate... It's the one area I think NI are falling behind in. They really need yo upgrade Massive or FM8. And their newer synths are not as good as the offerings from U-he, Tone2, Vengeance, Parawave, X-fer, etc.Apratim wrote:Yeah thats true man new synths come out more and more on every weekRobmobius wrote:I'd say the same... I personally think that Reaktor 6 Blocks and Monark are the best analog sounding plugs out there. However I do wish they'd give some more attention to their older poly synths too.Robmobius wrote:Yeah mate... It's the one area I think NI are falling behind in. I think Monark is good, but imo has been surpassed by Repro and the Legend.Echoes in the Attic wrote:
