New background as attachment:
That looks nice. Can you stroke it a little with black? It'll be a nice outline.

Add the new png-files (studio-background.png, studio-knob.png etc.) to the Cobalt Resources folder and replace Cobalt.ini with the new Cobalt.ini

Awesome! Really cool stuff. And how did you make it fit in rack view? Is it the ini file?

This is really frustrating trying to get this to work. I am using the Cobalt Original (small GUI) and It didn't come with a resource folder,or an INI file, I added the one in studio 54's download and Cobalt still opened up at the small version.

This is the content of my cobalt folder.

Hi DrewDale, apologies for the frustration. The process in this thread has been very much ad hoc as I've been adding new downloads without updating the 'official' download from my site.

I'd recommend deleting Cobalt completely from your system and download the latest beta version here:

http://www.lesliesanford.com/Temp/Cobalt6.zip

After placing it to your VST plugin location, have your VST host re-scan it. Please let me know how it goes.

The dimensions are defined by the size of the background image.

Many thanks, I now have the latest beta of yours, plus the Studio4 skin. Most appreciated indeed :tu:

I have 2 qestions for Mr. Sanford:

1. Do you plan to add donation button on your website?
2. Do you plan update Cobalt with mousewheel support?

Thanks for replies.

Does it require testing before officially updating?
Btw, You can link the skins for cobalt in the website. It'd be cool to get these more accessible.
Love Cobalt.

Hi U-o. The next beta version will definitely have mouse wheel support (thanks for the question, it reminded me to add it :)).

I don't have any plans for a donation button, but I appreciate the sentiment to show appreciation for the plugins.

Hi Paree, what I will probably do is let things stabilize here in this thread before updating the official version. Folks using the downloads in this thread will count as testing and once we've reached a stable point with regards to features and bug fixes, I'll update the official version.

Oh man I love this synth. Bought it many years ago and am now able to use the very nice new skin from studio4. Thanks a lot for that :tu:

This is my favourite free synth besides Charlatan. Charlatan for the more virtual analoque sound and Cobalt for the more digital sounds. Both sound great. And both easy on cpu :D

I noticed quite a difference in sound when playing only a sawtooth wave though and was wondering what was different so I compared the output in a signal analyzer and the saw waveform of Cobalt is actually a ramp.

Would like to see a Korg DW style skin from Studio4 too.
