7 for vs 1 against isn't that mixed. ;)

Yep, and make that 8 vs 1.

I bought my Scan (ADK) Win 7 PC laptop from them in July 2011.
I'm typing this message happily on it at the moment (touch wood...).

Good company (from which I've also bought the 2box drum kit subsequently).

Only problem was they were very poor at putting CPU and GPU glue on properly. Smeared it all around and put way too much cheap glue on.
I replaced it with a suitable amount of Arctic Silver which brought my temps down much better.
That bollock-dropping by Scan aside, I will definitely use them again (but I will also check the glue situation before running the laptop so long next time!).

Yep Scan for me too. I've had my 3XS power daw i7 system since 2009 and it's still going strong.

I do. Using parts from Scan, based on Scan's retail PCs specs, eg choice of motherboard etc. Because they can test a range of parts and spec systems for all the many vagaries of fussy audio requirements that an individual wouldnt be able to afford to do.

However at work, we buy prebuilt systems, with warranties and stuff, funnily enough. And the sound studio PC I just installed for ProTools... I ordered from Scan.

Thanks for all the replys , I'm going with scan and the i7 6700k , just waiting to hear back about something before I Order it up .

I can't be bothered waiting for the amd ryzen .
I'm pretty sure the i7 6700k will be night and day compared to my current
Intel q9450 2.66 quad and 4gb ram lol

Hi

Really weird thread - just to give you a couple of alternatives:

http://www.music-pc.com/

http://www.carillonac1.com/

I have bought music PC's from both and had many years of solid use from them.

Zero probs with PCs from Scan and Chillblast

I second Carillon, excellent system here, in daily professional use since 2011.
