And for some reason, JBridge is very unstable with T5.

And for your previous question, regarding Cubase dropping 32bit support, i think other DAWs may also drop 32 bit versions soon enough. Other reasons being a lot of SM/SE plugins filling up my VST folder (I know its an addiction). And i had to switch to 64 bit one day or the other. Both Linux and Mac(if i'm not wrong) release only 64 bit versions and Windows might phase out X32 from the next release as well. These were some of the reasons.

As far as using 32bit plugins that i can't live without, i sample the notes and feed it to Tracktion sampler.

Edit: Also i have RAM More than 4 GB so thats one of the reasons as well.

I am lucky Sonar is stable with 32-bit plugins, but I hardly use them anymore anyway.

That's only valid reason, because you are basically jumping ahead of the time now, live in present, you have old DAW that still supports 32 bit plugins, Cubase or Logic aren't any of your business right now.

There's 32 bit releases of almost every Linux distro's still and I don't see them following what Microsoft or Apple do that easily, they have long term support, opposed to Apple, who ditches compatibility of their 3 years old OS from their flagship DAW.
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

Ah....re-read the initial posting...misunderstood, I thought he was saying he switched to a 64bit system.

Both versions are available in the CM plugins pack, I use it in x64 Live.
Indeed, both available as 64-bit. For me, best magware/freeware synths: Blaukraut Charlatan, TAL-Noisemaker, Synapse Audio Dune CM, u-he Tyrell N6, and Ichiro Toda Synth1. If you have these, there's really not much that you're missing. Maybe a wavetable synth, shame there is no good option available for free (at least as far as i'm concerned).

I tried odin and its good except that it doesn't allow you to use custom waveforms. Sampling and feeding back to a sampler is an optuon though.

Only Ubuntu and in 2018, so support for last LTS release will be until 2021 at least, it's 2016 right now.

You could be dead tomorrow, enjoy in what you got (especially as you are using freebies and loosing plenty of them too), it's not like one can't run 32 bit DAW and plugins in 64 bit OS either, but whatever, you got your reasons and have time to mess around with all this. :tu:

I can confirm Dune CM is 64 bit for Logic Pro X. I used it about a month ago.

Sampletank 3 Custom Shop is free.

Can anybody tell me which synths from the list that could replace the firebird? I'm not familiar with all these synth terms yet.

Dune CM . Its a magware (Free with computer music magazine). Not exactly HCM but the number of oscillator types are similar to firebird. Makes nice sound too.

Synth1 is another easy to use synth even though not very good looking, its the best soundwise.

Another great synth is TAL Noisemaker and also Mausynth
