Why can't I get the Wave VST to work? I put the XML file in the right spot (%AppData%), but it's still not working. Here's some specs:
OS: Windows 10
DAW: FL Studio 12 (x86/x64), up to date
RAM: 4 GB DDR3
HDD Space: 588 free out of 930 GB
CPU: Intel 4Core 3710
Error Message:
Something went wrong loading the VST plugin WaveSynthPlug.
Please make sure it's installed and registered properly.
I followed the instructions on the KVR Plugin page, but it still doesn't work.

Stop using cracked stuff or at least don't be so dumb to ask here for help.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Yes. I transferred it to a new PC I got this past Christmas. My copy of FL Studio is legit, so I don't understand why it worked on a 4 year old PC with less disk space, less GPU power, less CPU power, etc, but not on a more recent computer.Numanoid wrote:The Wave plugin in the KDR DC16 challenge?

I am also using FL Studio v12.4 (build 29) on Windows 64 bit.
I manage to load WaveSynthPlug 64 bit, get no error messages.
Could it be that you try to load the 32 bit version while using FL Studio 64 bit, or vice versa?

No. That should work. FL Studio can use both versions.Numanoid wrote:I am also using FL Studio v12.4 (build 29) on Windows 64 bit.

I've just tested it. It is working with me (Win10, FLS 12.4.1, Plugin all are 64bit).
Try to rescan the plugins and/or download the synth again and extract it (with the xml file) to the correct folders. I didn't test the 32bit version, but only the 64bit.
@murnau:
It doesn't make sense to use a cracked FLS and then looking to have a free plugin working with it
Although, everything is possible of course!

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Strange. The 64-bit VST works in FL 32-bit (bridged mode), but the 32-bit version doesn't. I'll have to use the 64-bit version until it's fixed.

Just for the record, you are using a legit version of FL Studio 12 right?
I believe you do, but with confirmation we know 100% for certain that that is not the issue.

It's legit. I've been using FL Studio since 2011. Before that I used MAGIX Music Maker 12-16, but the instruments that came with said DAW weren't as good as Image-Line's.

Then, you should go asking for help on the Image Line forum. It all works fine over here (Waves Gold + a couple of extra plugins).stargate38 wrote:It's legit. I've been using FL Studio since 2011. There is btw an article on the IL forum which explains perfectly how to get it to work. Both vst2.4 and vst3.
