Can you please post the procedure you used to load this so I can send it to my customer?

by the way [again] :P
when i was on windows, i remember a small program that turned a folder of FXPs into an FXB, i can't remember the name of it sorry... possibly can also construct banks in a similar way, in the free VSThost program...?
anyways, good luck! hopefully Softube will release the next update soon and make life a tad easier for you ;)

just click the little folder icon at the top of the generic plugin square 'xy' window thing at the bottom of the Live GUI... then can navigate to the patch from there ;)

Thanks. I really appreciate this more than you can imagine.

Softube will drive me crazy until they get an internal browser.

Ug. Jumped on the sale just before it ended, even though I'd seen some of the issues outlined here, I hadn't seen any crashes during demo testing; now, I've built up a basic patch with the Intellijel Rubicon OSC and saved it in FL Studio (only option - as an FL Studio state file.) Problem is, I can load the state file back again and play it, but if I add a module or 2 and try playing it to ensure it still works, it will just hang FL Studio. I can get this far only in the 64-bit version, using windows 8 compatibility; the 32-bit version just freezes soon after Modular loads.
This is really lame. I've seen all the other posts about Modular not having a preset browser - which would be fine if there were a workaround, which in my case there isn't. So I'm dead in the water until they fix this (or just fully create patches from scratch every time, and then dump them into the ether afterwards, a thought I don't relish.)

Post

surely Fruity Loops can save an FXP??

Post

Exactly what I thought - I can see and use the option of saving as .fxp or .fxb for nearly every other VST I've ever used and needed to save/reload that way; for some unknown reason that option does not even appear in the wrapper while Modular is loaded (I think someone else on here said same thing or close to it).

I've also sent a detailed support request to Softube, but not holding my breath for any happy path from here.

[edit] noticed Modular is using vst3 format; and on research found that current FL Studio 12.4 can't save .fxp / .fxb for plugins in vst3 format (it can only load a preset file with extension ".vstpreset", or else FL Studio state files.)

[edit] well - after searching a bit, discovered that Modular is actually installed as VST2 in the location you specify AND is also installed as VST3 in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3", which just so happens to be one of the several "default locations" FL Studio scans for plugins. So I've deleted the VST3 version manually, and running with the VST2 version of Modular, it appears you can indeed save and load .fxp and .fxb files.

nice one
i didn't realise FL could load vst3
fingers crossed for a patch browser soon! and a 50% performance increase :P

i want someone to teach me how to get the most out of this wavefolder, it's the only extra module i've got, i still haven't got stuck into it. Any hints or tips on what kind of awesome sounds i can get with it and how? cheers

no one can explain a better way than this:

Does Softube Modular have FX modules included (reverb, delay, phaser etc.) which i can modulate of course also at audio rate?

Post

A simple delay is on board, which you can use to assemble new ones.
