Validates and works here, OS X 10.11.6 in Logic 10.2.4 and Digital Performer 9.02. All previous builds had crashed validation. Thanks!youlean wrote:OK, here is the first try to fix this AU crash.
Please download this version and tell me if it is still crashing. Use this only if you couldn't load/validate AU in your DAW.

I'm using this plugin on basically every project now (Win 10, Live 9.7, 64-bit). Genuinely this is one of the most useful analysis tools i have at my disposal. There are a few issues i've noticed though. First, regardless of previous settings, when i open a project with this already in it, the max peak setting always resets to -1.00. Second, if i change the internal Live settings from 96kHz to 44.1 internal processing & from 24-bit record to 16-bit (i can't be more specific which of these two changes is the culprit since i tend to do both together) YLM seems to jump up several dB and remain like that unless i reload the project. Finally, changing the loudness algorithm when set in timecode makes it forget everything, even if i return to the one i was previously using.
A few requests i'd like to make also. Ideally it would be great to be able to change the default settings so that it opens up exactly how i want it each time, secondly (and this is a minor one) EBU R128 +5dB would be a nice addition as this corresponds to the common replaygain standard used by Foobar2000 and (i believe) iTunes. Finally (and this is not something i tend to request often), i'd like to be able to make it smaller than it will currently go down to, perhaps an option for a minimal interface with just the graph and the three main values would be an idea.
Anyway, once again... Top plugin, well deserving of its winning status. I look forward to any further developments or products.

I don't think that EBU-128 +5 is "standard" (-23 +5 = -18LUFS).
iTunes uses -16LUFS, Youtube currently shoots for -14LUFS
I've said it before, I say it again.
EBU R-128 is but a preset of the ITU-R BS.1770-x backbone (reference -23LUFS/LUKS, maximum ceiling -1dBTP).
Why not use the ITU-R BS-1770-x settings? (read: absolute scale, not relative)

Well, I've been using EBU-128 in relative scale and tend to find that -(integrated value - 5) pretty accurately corresponds to the replaygain reduction in Foobar2000 (having just checked the prefs it does mention iTunes soundcheck as being -16 as opposed to RG being -18).
Spotify seems to average around -14 too, thinking about it. So yeah, i guess there is no standard as such, just me wanting to save some mental arithmetic.
I haven't really checked any of the others since this seems to work for me quite well (and the aforementioned forgetting everything if i change it problem) but i shall certainly give it a look.
Guess i should do a little reading on the different types. Any recommendations?

The AESTD1005.1.16-09 document and maybe check out Nugen Audio's Master Check for "currently proposed standards/limitations".
Also... Try to use the absolute scale in Youlean, not the relative. The latter needs a reference level adjustment

Are there some news on the "Wavelab issues" front as well?

Thanks. There are some bugs and I am fixing them as we speak. You can expect many new features after NAMM.mutantdog wrote:I'm using this plugin on basically every project now (Win 10, Live 9.7, 64-bit). Does it crashes it every time or sometime? I will update VST3 version using latest Steinberg SDK so issue might be fixed in the next version... (I will post it in a couple of days)samplerbanker wrote:64-bit VST3 version crashes Cubase 9 on Win 10.

Sorry, I didn't have time to look at it in detail. I will look at it after NAMM. Currently I am preparing for USA VISA interview.Compyfox wrote:Are there some news on the "Wavelab issues" front as well?

Fair enough - I got a lot of alternatives to keep me busy/company for the time being. But I'm definitely looking forward to future updates.
