Your next guitar?

I can't believe it.
There are fine crack marks on both sides of the neck.
Cursed. Completely cursed. If I ever do buy another guitar, I'm not posting it here about how much I like it

So I have to ask.... What do you have against Modern C necks?
Also.... Maybe it's time to hire a luthier to build your next electric guitar. I've often thought about it.

? I don't understand what I said that would have me hating on modern C necks? I have so many different guitars with so many different necks I like (that isn't why I feel like giving up)
@luthier: Not in this area
Carvin is probably as close as I'll come.
As far as "strat" ... it's what I have or the highway. I give up completely. Guess I'll order a pre-wired pickup set (like the Gilbert) which is low noise/still straty.

Then I noticed:
Neck Shape: Even C Medium, .840 - .920
Which means compound radius which I do not want.
I.... CAN'T.... WIN!

Have you thought about SD stacks or Lace Sensor?
I've been playing my Strat plus with lace sensors since they first released it. It's less aggressive but fills the bill nicely for me.

inc - for what it's worth; I very recently went to the Fender Hot Noiseless set in my strat and very much love it's "straty-ness" now
Best of luck !

Hmmm, I tried the new noiseless and sent them back. Not straty at all IMO. They sounded thin and crispy. I have Irish Tours in that guitar right now. And they sound Straty and full bodied.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

yeah, dunno what your amp / set-up looks like SJ. To me; the Hot Noiseless are not "thin & crispy" at all but almost the exact opposite of that description. The reason I dig them more than my previous set of stock & Duncan's is because they sound warmer, thicker. Again, this may just be the diff btw our two signal chains but I couldn't be happier.

Whatever I get, I'll hate 'em after a month
I'd probably like the Fenders but I wouldn't want "hot."
Not sure though, I'm considering the prewired stuff. The Gilbert looks ok, but not sure if it's also too hot. The bridge pup being hot is ok and might be preferred, but not really hip on the others being that way.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Yeah.... I didn't like the alnico 5's in my Variax Standard one bit till I started trying my hand at melodic metal. I still don't like the noise but It's more about my setup. I sit very close to my computer and my amp and that isn't going to change anytime soon because I simply can't get that loud.
It's funny.... My Tele Modern Player.... I love to tears but only for one pup position (pos 4) I love the neck and the belly cut and the forearm cut and the color. There isn't a day that goes by without me thinking of replacing the pups with SD's and changing up the wiring.... And doing a variax transplant.
Maybe we all ought to be rich and have our own private guitar museum's like Joe Bonamassa
