This new build should work just fine except for the skins browser.

Feedback always appreciated thanks!

Thanks for your continued support and work on this disco. I promise it will pay off in the long run. It's a lovely piece of kit.

I have a question and a request:

- Is the new discodsp version fully compatible to the old version regarding sound and features? Or would it be better actually to rename the new version to obxd-new.vst (+ the entries in plist etc)?

- I would like to request support for directories and also symbolic links (ln -S) to directories within the preset dir

Thanks

Tested the new version, and apparently everything is working fine. No crashes, and both the Bank Browser and the Skin Browser work (the Skin Browser just needs that we close and reopen the GUI, as mentioned - not even need to close the plug-in, just close and reopen the GUI). Windows 7 x64

Although this solution is not the most elegant (not a real Patch Browser, since we still cannot select patches inside the Bank), at least it allows us to load Banks, and this is already a great advance over the previous situation. Also, the Skin Browser allows us to quickly change skin, without the previous mess to copy files into a folder, and have to keep backups of the files separately. Thanks.

Works now as expected over here as well.

I second what other people have said that it would be good to have a list of patches there as well. For instance in Bitwig, I need to find the plugin in the device chain (which can be easy or difficult depending if I've hidden it in some layer or not), then click a button to find the list of patches and then scroll around to find the patch that I'm looking for.

- Yes.
- As far as I know, when using symlinks there's no need to do anything else on the plug-in side.

A preset browser could be next, but being able to load banks for now is a step forward :) Thanks for the detailed report and feedback.

It may be a hassle in Bitwig, however Reaper gets the preset list just fine after loading a bank. Navigating thru presets is something more or less difficult (or even non existent) depending of the host.

Everything seems to be working fine now in Live on quick testing.

Main thing for me is this means it finally works properly in Kore

Hm, but the dirs from a embolic link do not show up in the bank context menu... :?:

There's a VST version, not audio unit.

The Mac VST beta 3 works just fine in Live 9.6.2, Mavericks. Many thanks for the banks feature!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Ah I see it now - wasn't there an AU version too originally? (I seem to remember there being one but had deleted it ages ago)
