I want to put more time into making sample libraries, and less into producing and playing music, so this Karoryfer Samples thing is getting serious. Now in the works is a folk-punk tuba and a brushed drum kit. We also already have plans to record a baritone sax and a clean singing vocal for Marie Ork in February.

So, what would you like to see, either in terms of general categories (for example more strings) or specific (a Balkan style helicon)?

There's a hell of a lot of scope in this, so many ways to play, so many variations. You could get something quite unique. Getting it playable would be a challenge but if you only wanted to be able to program it, it would be well worth it. Nice idea!

Trap instruments of various sorts would be nice -- shakers, cowbells (yeah!), tambourines, the more exotic and interesting the better...

The brush kit is very much needed.

There's only 1 good free muted trumpet, and no muted trombone I know of. So those are needed.

A good fretless bass would be nice.

Crowd noises, vocal oomphs, chants and effects. Things that would add long background ambience as well as short drum undertones.

+1 on solo viola...in tune, options of no vibrato or mild vibrato...or some way of controlling vibrato that sounds realistic.

+1 on brushes..especially the swishy snare stuff..articulations...how to get the swish syncing to tempo?..or is that a rex thing?

Rex loops based bass guitar instrument. So instead of just single notes its got recorded straight 8 or 16ths sampled at a couple of tempos to be tempo matched without too many artefacts. Maybe multiple articulations (pick, finger, muted, slapped). Combination of key switches could determine if its single, 8ths, 16ths and which articulation.

What would you like me to sample in the future?
