Meh... Can't find an export window pic in whole inet... But ok...

I didn't play around too much with SynthEdit, but you need 2 outs (I don't mean the soundout!).

In export settings ther's some stereo option that is greyed out normally if you don't have a "pair" of outputs.

Here is the cubase warning for Chellofan:

Cubase Elements Warnings (Tuesday, January 10, 2017)
------------------------------------------------------

This mixer configuration expected "Cellofan" to have Output 1: Stereo,
-> The instrument currently has Output 1: Mono,
-> The instrument channel will be silent.

Never in my life heard of this or any of my plugs doing this at anyone who used them. That's a hoax.
It is important that the instrument/fx in Synthedit is in a container in the main Synthedit window. This container must have two audio outs (stereo) and a MIDI in (VSTinstrument) or (stereo-)audio input (VST effect).
In the export window it must be selected if it's an instrument or effect.
That's all. Synthedit will remove all other things in the main window while exporting to .dll

hi, I've just tried it on a 64bit Windows 7 machine running 64bit Cubase 8.5 and it works fine.

I am slightly visually impaired and I like the big gui. I'm finding the stark black and white contrast a bit difficult though.

I see it's 32bit - is there likely to be a 64bit version because Cubase 9 won't run 32bit I think.

Whatever, I thought you might like to know it's fine on Cubase 8.5.

Noted.
:tu:

I'll try to make the white characters a bit light grey in the next beta, to see if it is better for your eyes.

What I could also try to do (why not) is to put somewhere in a corner a very small knob to affect a bit at one's ease the white part of the letters (on the knobs themselves it is of course not possible as long as a GUI is not vectorial).

As soon as Synthedit 64-bit will be available, yes. But considering the huge slowness of the developments of the 64-bit (and Mac) next edition of Synthedit (which will be the 1.2) it may take still quite some time to come. I don't hope it before at least yet one or two years...

In the meanwhile, myself for my own use of other 32-bit plugins (mde by other developers with Synthedit, Synthmaker, Flowstone, etc.) in my 64-bit DAW (Mulab) I have no problem at all with the use of JBridge which is very cheap and awesome. But I do recognize that it is not a normal situation. I would like the developments of Synthedit 64-bit be much faster... Nearly 6 years of patience now since the start of the 64-bit developments it is a hassle.

Did I miss the part where it says Windows only? I downloaded it, unzipped it and got a .dll file. Can't use it on my iMac.
Running Logic Pro 10.4 under Sierra on a late 2012 27" iMac wth 24 GB RAM :tu:

BW-Tron is Synthedit, thus Windows only (normaly every VST plugin is Windows only unless stated otherwise :P )

Works fine on my old Win XP with EnergyXT.
Some thoughts:
- Vol A and Vol B could be obsolete if if the A_B switch would be a continuous knob.
- the Reverberation meant to sound like an old spring reverb is just awful. Make it a longer delay or use a cheap reverb like UD-Reverb
- original Mellotron is not reacting on key velocity for volume. Map Velocity to Attack (hig vel > slow attack) and use the (attack-)envelope also for a 1p LP filter. Make the amount adjustable with the Attack knob.
- displaying the values below the knobs is obsolete

I put all that in the list.

(and it will lighten the room)
:D

About the velocity reaction I think it could be kept simply as an option by a switch (set to 0 by default). What do you think of it ? It's true that for a Mellotron it is somewhat a thing a bit weird.

Already mentioned in PM. Repost here...

I'm having problems with the velocity sensitivity of the plugin. The original Mellotron obviously didn't have velocity sensitivity. I noticed that the difference in volume between soft and loud velocities is pretty severe, overdriving my master bus when playing loud.
My preference would be to get rid of the velocity sensitivity altogether. Eliminating the need to load additional MIDIFX plugins to keep the velocity constant.
Or maybe add an option to switch between "velocity to volume", "velocity to tone", "velocity off".
