No mention of a windows version but if the price is not too high i will get it for sure.
I hope to get the Arp Oddyssei and the Mac version of iWavestation as AU in my big DAW
At least it surprised me really....

Wasn't expecting this either. Not sure it's something I'd need or want but it'll be interesting to see the price. Gadget isn't exactly low-cost on iOS especially when you factor in the IAPs.

Indeed, but i like it very much.
The plug-in collection should include all Gadget´s (i hope including the Arp Odyssei Gadget and iWavestation Gadget)....could be not cheap.
But having those as AU in a big DAW with all automations, midi FX and my external FX it will be more interesting there and i can do much more with it.
It´s great on iOS but a bit limited in it´s own.

Amazing - this sounds fantastic - hopefully it will mean a revamp for all the KLC stuff too with better GUIs etc

Yes, THAT would sound fantastic. Together with the adding of some more instruments, like the PS series and the Trident, for example. Would oove to have a Trident Mk II emulation and a PS-3300 emulation

What's in iWavestation that's not in the "real" Wavestation emulation already available?

Since half of the KLC (or more) is already available as Gadget with better GUI and even sometimes more features i think it will replace KLC maybe.

When the gadgets become available, we will see how much of that is true. I have BIG doubts about the "more features" and the "better GUI" is always something up to personal tastes, but I can't comment since I have no experience with the gadgets.

Compare iWavestation with Wavestation in KLC and you know what i mean.
But yes, we will see. At least i find it very interesting and hope Moog will make something similar and release Animoog and Model 15 as plug-ins too.

I can't, because I don't have (nor am I planning to have) any iOS device. But I have a Wavestation A/D (the real deal) and the entire KLC, and the Wavestation emulation seems OK to me, and the sounds are for real. Besides, it has ALL the expansions released by Korg, which seems not being the case with the iWavestation. So, what is there in the iWavestation that's NOT in the KLC version?

iWavestation has a much better and more easy to use GUI. On top it has a really(!) good random feature for wavesequences plus a lot better workflow for editing your custom wavesequences which almost always gives you usable results.
There are no really jaw dropping new options but the workflow and usability seems much better.
The sound is the same but it's not everything these days if the workflow is crap.
Indeed there are all expansions available too (some via IAP).
Not sure how they port this finally to the mac but i never would buy a plug-in again with such an old crappy GUI. A reason i never bought Virsyn desktop stuff.

iWavestation UI is excellent, the UI on the desktop software is horrific, it pretty much emulates the hardware, iWavestation is designed from the get go for ease of use, the sound engines are identical on all three.

So, it is just a GUI overhaul (something the KLC users have been referring since years). We can agree on that - a (much) better EDIT window is something in need for ALL the KLC synths. But there's no need to port anything, since the core is already there - just need a new GUI.

Yeah, just go read the IOS page for it, it is the same sound engine, has all the same features, and has preset parity, but it does have a great randomisation feature the desktop does not have, trust me iWavestation is the best of all three variants, but i suspect we will not be getting iWavestation, because iWavestation is not built in to gadget, it is the standalone Wavestation on IOS, the gadget is called Milpitas, it is unlikely to be anymore than this.

Yes, mainly. I don't know why some developers seems not able to provide modern GUI's for HD+ screens these days for desktops and notebooks.
For me it's important like the sound engine itself.
But of course a lot of these Gadget's aren't available for desktop yet too like the ArpOdyssei which i like much more than Oddity2 f.e.
