I would've thought so - I imagine it'll appear in MXXX as soon as it's been made public and there's 10.07 updates of everything ...Ah_Dziz wrote:So will MTurboReverb be compatible for use inside MXXX when it's released? It's pretty boss on its own, but I'd love to use it in that context for some of the weird stuff I'm doing with it. I asked a while ago, but got no answer. It currently doesn't show up in the list inside MXXX.
MTurboReverb preset making action, let's make the ultimate reverb! ;)

Aaaah, sorry missed the answer: Yes it should be.
2D positioning: Folks, who do stuff with XY pad, please wait a little, there should be a secret beta today, with a template for the 2D positioning presets. It is actually just a little modified preset from Chandler, so you can already check it out

No problem. Dampening the lows isn't a bad idea either. One reason I didn't do it was I was running out of EQ nodes. AFAIK low end loss isn't a natural phenomenon, but many mics have a proximity effect that decreases with distance. The new beta features everything I've done(at least version 1), so you can see for yourself. I can't wait to hear what you've done.Creepr wrote:That is a much more sophisticated approach to the panning that I implemented so far, I will go back to mine and work on it.The distance is actually the same method I used but I increased the stereo width as I went "back" in distance. The way I had it the sound became less localized the farther back I set the listening position. I also increased dampening on the LRs for lows as well as highs, but not as much. Tonight I will figure out that XY pad and we shall see how it all sounds on one control. Thanks for the tips Chandler!

This new beta is great. The 2D positioner preset looks much better than what I did. Very clean and professional. Although, I understand why you took off the ER/LR knob and put it back on. I added a title switch to turn off the positioner, so people can choose to use it in positioner mode or like a normal reverb.
The filter in the ER and LR sections are great too, it will be much quicker to adjust things and create variations on sounds now. The user parameters are also nice. It was something I thought of, but didn't think to ask for as I thought it would be too complicated. I'm going to experiment with parallel algorithms now that they're available too. I'm very interested in the new AllpassCircular module. Has anyone tried it yet? I'm excited to try the new smart seed too.
The new active presets are pretty good too. In the final version are they going to be setup like MMultiband convolution. Ex Have hall, plate, room, etc and when you click it a list of the active presets comes out?
Vojtech - Will there be a time for people to make non-active presets. Things like "snaredrum reverb", "Phil Collins toms", "Boston Hall", etc. Of course the active presets need to be done first so people have something to work with, but it would be nice to have lots of these types of presets too.

The thing that impresses me most about the update is that it’s possible to put parameters in the topology. I have already used this to combine what used to require two different algorithms (short reverb time algorithm; long reverb time algorithm) in to a single unified algorithm. This also allows reverb diffusion to be more easily set in algorithms. In addition, the ability to see the see the seed and all other parameters when making “room type” (the switch near the top which sets the general character of the reverb) makes it possible for me to move a good sounding seed around more easily.
I haven’t had a chance to play with the smart seed generator yet. While it would have been nice to be able to set the delay times in FDNs by hand, I think having the smart seed generator minimizes the need for that feature.
This is a very impressive update that has greatly exceeded my expectations.
For end users, this will result in there being better sounding reverb presets for people to use in the released version of MTurboReverb.
I already have an algorithm with 19 parameters in the easy mode and and three very reverbs using that one algorithm (Small Drum Chamber, Large recital hall, Long sustain ambience), where these three reverbs all come from the same algorithm, just adjusting the knobs in the easy mode.

Send Vojtech an email and he will decide if you’re on a need to know basis to get the secret code again.Sampleconstruct wrote:What's the hidden secret installer code again, I forgot and can't find MTurboSuperReverb??

Sure, that's what I did after the other secret code didn't work, which is (one has to actually say it while holding M+E+L+D+A+big toe of the right foot on the middle c of the Midi keyboard):caulixtla wrote:Send Vojtech an email and he will decide if you’re on a need to know basis to get the secret code again.Sampleconstruct wrote:What's the hidden secret installer code again, I forgot and can't find MTurboSuperReverb??

Thanks folks
Chandler:
- Be careful with the E/R, when you change it with the XY pad, people may then change the value itself, and then when they touch E/R again, it would change again. Maybe instead of doing this, try changing the ranges of the E/R multiparameter?
- Yes, there hopefully should be folders for Halls, Rooms, Crazy stuff etc.
- I suppose there will be some time to make classic presets. But maybe that would go after some preliminary public beta release or something, or maybe even after the final release. After all the active presets are worth far more than presets, but they also serve as presets.

If ever a plugin called for a cut-down preset-player version, this would be it

What are you talking about? Isn't that the idea that we have the easy screen/GUI and when we want to go deeper we go into edit mode? Seems like the perfect way to get both.
