Is there anything special I need to do in order to make Soundfont instruments work?
The preinstalled looks there are banks and not individual instruments so how do you do?

Post

You have two choices:

1. Move the soundfont files to Documents/RapidComposerV3/Soundfonts. The program will recognize them and generate an instrument file when started next time.
2. Leave the sf2 files where they are, and add them manually. Click on Settings / Soundfonts tab, and on the 'Add' button at the bottom of the list. After you added the files, they are immediately usable, and available in the track instruments menu.

I have tried both, but non of them works, it doesnt even seems to try to install them, the interface shuts down and no instrument is availible?
For the record so you dont think there is a major problem, I have added a free soundbank so I know it works, but these standalone instruments dont show up.

I bought them from

http://www.gmsoundfont.com/

Is that familiar?

I'll check if 24-bit soundfonts are supported.

Post

No, 24-bit soundfonts are not supported at the moment. I'll fix this in the next few days.

Oh, i did not know that there was different bits & bytes on SoundFont. Its new to me this soundfont instruments, I have only used VsTi:s. When you say you fix it in next few days, how do I get the fix?
Do I have to download Beta version or do you release patches?
Thanks for your superb support, you are a perfect example on how support should work.

I think I will build a new beta version first, and if you confirm that it is working well, there will be another bug fix update for the stable version.
