That's gotta be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Need to do more research into this:

Looks perfect.

Edit, yeah, I'm hopeless.

check it out... what if you had a 'strat' pickguard loaded with 1) P90, 2) humbucker, and 3) lipstick pickup?

Might be cool.

That'a what I said until I picked up a variax standard by yamaha (not jtv, not earlier models)

Now even when I think about other guitars I think to myself..... I wonder who would do a transplant for me. Honestly I can think of 3 guys in the Detroit area who are luthiers/ guitar techs that could handle the work.

Transplants were very popular for awhile until JTV's arrived on the scene.
I picked up my variax standard for $550 it was a customer return. As standards come out on the used market the price of them will drop on the used market.

There was this master luthier guy back in the 70's I forget his name. Anyway when you had him build you a guitar he would come to your place and measure your hand. Fingers and forearm as well. He wanted to build the perfect fit for you.

I wished I had the woodworking skills of my father. I'd love to have a little luthiery shop where all I did was expensive guitar repair and paint jobs along with building two or three custom guitars a month.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
