@ dev: Bought it, and love this VST. Very intuitive and easy to use. GUI is friendly and sounds are divine.
Thanks for the excellent new toy!

Just because it's insane doesn't mean it's a bad idea.

The Mangle is one of those vst's you can recommend to everyone and know you won't have a discussion afterwards. And yes: they will still speak to you.
To me, it is my vst acquisition of 2016.

The Mangle

Only $25 a bargain!
I wonder if there will aver be a Mangle 2
That would be a monster!
On the Tangle

would love to see a sampler module added.
like KarmaFx??

Thanks to whoever bumped this thread. I had completely forgotten about the Mangle and I bought it whilst it was still in early beta! Reading this thread again has reminded to go back to it.

I did a multi layer patch but it only saved the first layer. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

No way of knowing without seeing what you actually did. Can you make a video?wickfut wrote:I did a multi layer patch but it only saved the first layer. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I can't record a video. It'd be a bit of a task getting desktop recording software and software to internally route the audio from cubase asio to the recording software, especially as my soundcard doesn't allow multiple simultaneous asio hosts.
The simple version. Made a multi sound on The Mangle. Saved sound file and saved the daw project in cubase.
loaded it back up today and only one layer of the multi is saved in The Mangles user presets folder and loading the cubase project still only has one layer also.
It's that simple.
Just curious if anyone else has these issues or it's a user error that's all.

I just want to make sure I understand this. Before you saved the preset, both layers were clearly present. You can see the waveform for each layer. And then when you reload the project, the waveform for the one layer is gone.wickfut wrote:I can't record a video. Correct?
If so, that's a bug. Now, the question is, which version number are you running and on what OS, DAW?
I'm going to guess you're on a MAC.

Not a clue. There is no member's area. If you lost your original purchase email (I did but fortunately have the update email) your SOL as far as downloading again in case of a system crash or anything like that.waltercruz wrote:Latest version of The Mangle is 1.1?
Without checking the dll myself, I don't know what version is the latest and there is nothing up on the site. But I do know that after 1.0 came out and Tom and I worked on the added features (embedding waves in preset) there was another release. So I would think it had to be 1.1. As to whether there was another release after, your guess is as good as mine.

Shame about this one. Bought both of the dev's instruments. A lot of potential. His total lack of communication is irritating, though. This project is clearly dead, but it would have been nice for him to send out the final version to those who bought.
