Boy am I glad I'm off the SB FOO but I'm tryin to help someone here.
First,, theres Creative asio and audigy asio,,what's the difference and which one do ya use?
Then,, theres ms latency of 3-5-7 etc. but when you get to 10,,the next choice is 20,,is that a joke?
How do you get 15ms? Is there a registry tweak where you can add a default choice?
Any registry tweaks for the Audigy2 would be helpful..I can't find anywhere to adjust the buffer size.Went to Techspot and their so called tweak page for Audigy just shows you how to use the modules. That must be for people who bought the Audigy,,but don't know why...
It's not my system so I'm not going to install 3rd party drivers...

Shame, KX drivers rock me! Mind you, they work in divisions of 2 (2.3, 4.6, etc..), but they are far better than the sucky Creative ones.

Never tried ASIO4ALL on an Audigy tho. It offers the kind of slider adjustment to the latency you want, but I've only used it with my lappy (as I use KX with my audigy). May work tho, but dunno how that would effect the DirectX/WDM side (makes no difference on my lappy - just adds another set of drivers to choose from).

Ya the KX divisions are what I'm lookin for ,but searching some of the old posts on those drivers show some problems with some systems and I don't want this to be a long job.
Gotta be a spot in the registry where you can add a custom buffer size to the default ones...no?
thanx..

I posed this very question to Creative's tech support and received their answer today..
They sent me rite back to the place where I asked the question and there was an article attached giving me the definition of asio. How friggin lame is that?
Anyway I pulled the card,,they can have it back,,I'll find him something else..I got nothin against their cards but as a very rich company you'd think their tech support would be second to none....
I'm posting this because we should be aware, as we are here at KVR of tech support from all these companies no matter how much we spend...
