I'm looking at PXT Live for Production but want to make the Push more intuitive for DJing and Performance and get the most out of the pads.

My approach to DJing in live will be to have separate clips that i can combine a bit like remix decks so i'll have intro-main-breakdown-outtro then i'll mix other clips for transitions etc.

PPTC looks like it could be great for this to trigger clip combinations but also interested in different ways to trigger fx (oktopush looks great for this) and sequence live but there's so much stuff out there it's hard to know where to begin and not sure i can do everything at once.

Cheers!

[ETA] Was also curious about the Isotonik hot cues to emulate this behaviour in Live rather than splitting the clips up on separate tracks.

I dont really call it DJing, more controllerism to me, but you cant go wrong with an iPad Ableton linked, some amazing performance apps on those things.

Thanks, i've got an Air 1 but it's specifically for Live. Was thinking of integrating Touchable3 though to control some parts of Live such as the fx. Reason i'm asking all this cause it's tricky to keep on top of a set with those two lcds, or maybe i just need to get used to it. But the isotonik stuff etc looks great for do macro type stuff with the pads like triggering multiple clips; i could use that to mix tracks that i've split up... It won't be traditional djing that's for sure! :)

Sorry then, i cant help you, i grew up mixing on two turntables, multi screens and such are a no brainer to me.
