Can't see anything about support for alternative scales and microtuning in this update, that has always been one of Halion's most serious omissions so I was hoping a new version would address this.

'Easily' perhaps if you're a scripting wiz, I want something accessible for all and easy to use like the Microtune module in Falcon.

Won't happen for new products, and H6 is being released a few days before Valentine's day. Maybe next year

HALion 5 does this - page 283 in the manual.
Imports Scala files, too.

I looked into this. I have Absolute1, was told the upgrade now to ver. 2 for $199 would include free upgrade to ver. 3, but that after its release the upgrade to ver. 3 would likely be $299. My best guess is $199 for you.

That would be quite high just for an update to Halion 6 from 5 unless they included many other things (from Absolute 1 to 2 you got The Grand, Groove Agent 4, and the sound library). The new libraries included (the pianos and horns and strings) are definitely not worth that huge leap to me. I might just upgrade Halion 5 to 6 unless they really bring something else to the table.
