This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Imagine a blue screen of death.
How would it happen? Tech support probably won't know.
Most importantly ... why can't you use your 3rd party plug-ins?

Aloysius... Once more, but be direct please. I'm not the smartest, and I need clarity.

Buggy software and Harrison plugins only work in Mixbus, perhaps?

No bugs here with Mixbus 3 and Mixbus 32C on Windows 10. I can use 3rd party VSTs too.

Same here, but Harrison plugins are not VSTs, and so do not work in any of the usual alternative daws.

Sorry I read what you wrote as... "only Harrison plugins work in Mixbus" instead of how you wrote it... "Harrison plugins only work in Mixbus"

I demoed V3 when they had the $29 black friday sale, it wasn't stable enough for me to test it sufficiently. I posted this because now I'm on their mailing list and it came across my inbox. Does anyone have any knowledge of what they're doing with V4?

I find this to be a really strange business model. They are selling it for peanuts, ala Reaper, and it's not really their bread and butter, but what is there end goal with this? Does this somehow help to sell harrison consoles? Is there some weird education angle that I'm not thinking of?

(a) Duplicated post. Dupe ... for short.
(b) My little parody of the video promoting v4. v3 has not been the most wonderful experience as regards stability and/or the ability to load all 3rd party VSTs.

32C is the current flagship, so my question is, does V4 now sit in that position? Or, is 32C still the top dog?

I recently tried whatever the "cheaper" version was recently. I didn't have crashes, but what a mess to try and work with! :nutter:

Anyways, I hope it's dope and I'm really happy they have a demo now, but it isn't for me unless they have changed a lot.

I'm a big fan of the console section in Ardour & the Mixbus iteration of it. I think the design concept is arguably the best in the industry.

I am however not a fan of the Ardour main arrange & editing section and find it harder to work with. Good ideas in general, but some of the implementations or processes are dated and slow for me. It seems to have largely followed a PT style workflow from some time ago.

Mixbus and Mixbus32C will both be updated to version 4. The 32C version4 is coming a little later; the week of May 1st.
