I would really love to automate those (i guess its not really real time, hence the lack of automationability , but still it would be great).

Would be great if IL thought about lowering the price of Sytrus, $99 seems more fair these days than $179 (especially seeing that IL add VAT on top).

Would make the plug affordable to a lot more users, and would thus help the resurgence of it.

FM8 is $149 and Sytrus when compared to it is on another level because of drawable envelopes (which makes it non-linear) and because it's not just a FM synth.

I think that the main reason why Sytrus is $179 is because it is now included in Producer Edition (PE) which is $200, so IL is trying to lure people into buying FL Studio.

I personally wouldn't give Sytrus for below $130.
I think that you are underestimating it because even though Sytrus is 10+ years old it's highly relevant today because of dubstep, neuro dnb and similar genres.
With its FM nature it's very easy to create nasty growls and especially because it has drawable envelopes it's easy to jerk around with operators in a way you can't do in bajillion of other synths and to constantly get new sounds and because of its FM nature everything sounds clinically clean.

Those genres are not really my cup of tea, but I'm aware what people like SeamlessR are doing with it and some other people.
For those genres Sytrus is like a gold mine.

Exactly my point, lowering the price to a more sober $99 will put it within reach of many more musicians.

I got Sytrus as part of FL Signature Edition. According to info in my Image Line account, I can download the VST version of Sytrus to use in another DAW if I want to

In hindsight of using Sytrus for many years, I don't think I could pay that much for it. But even after 10 years it's still a quality synth.

I have never bought Sytrus standalone.

I upgraded to FL Producer/Signature version 5 years ago or so, and got Sytrus included then.

Ah yeah..it IS included in the Signature edition. So, i was right...the VSTi version isn't included in the Producer edition.

Sure I bought (back in the day) the XXL version, boxed. Upgraded to the ALL VST version last december (great sales for me). But i think (long time ago) it was included in the XXL version.

I bought Sytrus in a sale at PluginBoutique for about $120 I think. Can't say I regret it, because it is an absolute monster for sound design, but it has some pretty glaring flaws that I didn't notice until after I bought it.

Namely: Sytrus, like all Image Line plugins, is very touchy in Ableton Live, Studio One, and any DAW I've tried it in that is not FL Studio. It crashes Live if I group it to a rack with the interface open. It crashes Live if I move it to another track with the interface open. It's been how long since the .68 update and AFAIK they still haven't fixed the issue where 64 bit users can't use the FFT editor without causing a memory access error. So I'm stuck on the old interface... no not the pre-black interface version... the version before that. And most notably, it has no glide outside of FL Studio. When I ran some google searches all I could find was that support said it's not likely to ever be incorporated in the VST version and the developer was getting very abrasive with people who asked for a staple feature on a synth they'd paid upwards of $100 for.

The real kick in the sack here is the preferential treatment shown to FL studio users who generally pay, at most, $300 for signature bundle whereas I have bought Harmor, Sytrus, Maximus, Gross Beat and Vocodex separately at a combined price of... oh about... a hell of a lot more than FL Studio.

So yeah, I love Harmor and Sytrus. But until Image-Line starts acting like they give a shit about their VST customers I won't be supporting them anymore.
