Did someone mention:

Autobahn?
Men Machine?
Computer World?
Radioactivity?
Expo 2000? (Ooops, not an album...)
Tour de France?

All around concepts...

:D

Electric Cafe? Is it a concept?
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

The Who: The Who Sell Out the concept of the album being a pirate radio station - complete with commercials!

The Jam: Setting Sons the first punk concept album, with Paul Weller writing about an English Civil War and its aftermath.

The Kinks did a ton of them: Arthur, Soap Opera, Schoolboys In Disgrace, Are The Village Green Preservation Society . Even Give The People What They Want has a concept thread running through it, Ray was depressed about everything then....

Utopia, Swing To The Right - this came out around the same time as Styx' Kilroy Was Here, and it got somewhat unnoticed - but it was the better album in Todd Rundgren's decrying what the Reagan Republicans were doing to the US at the time - scathing!

Utopia, Deface The Music - the concept being, let's see if we can write a tribute to the Beatles, using all original material - and, oh, spot the influences!
"Hoi Polloi", "Always Late" and "Life Goes On" are great. I think Rhino reissued this one a while ago, worth checking out....
"Ooo, look at me, I'm making people HAPPY! I'm the Magical Man from Happyland! In a gumdrop house on Lollypop Laaaaaaane!" - Homer Simpson

Not to mention ...

Muswell Hillbillies -- connecting London outskirts and American Appalachia

Everybody's in Showbiz -- a band's life on the road

Preservation Acts 1, 2, 3 -- Flash versus Mr. Black
