For perspective, I also have Flacon but that costs twice as much as Avenger and I had more trouble with that such as massive spikes when opening the filter via the GUI even after a year....
Flacon?...... :D
I also have Falcon and Avenger and i have/had trouble with both in some areas but Avenger is still unused since the beginning due to my personal issues while Falcon works mostly (of course i still have trouble with cpu since it run just on one core.....but it works otherwise like it should).
I don´t find it harsh if after 2 months a tool doesn´t work for me, especially since all other tools work fine on my system.
I mean if they let me sell it and another one would be happy to buy it....win win.

The discussion is going in circles though, the Avenger experience on Windows obviously is totally different than the experience on Mac. So Mac user should not discuss Avenger with Windows user concerning stability and other issues :)

I make that mistake at least once a day too, dyslexia is embedded in that name.

Anyone else is using Avenger in Maschine, please?

Yup- appreciate that, I just don't want people to get the wrong idea when people are saying the software is not working/is still Beta....as I said, feels a little harsh to categorise it that way for all users. I am sorry there are issues with the Mac version and I hope your problems get fixed.

I have used it in S1 3, BWS and Ableton Live (all at the most recent versions) without issue. 64 bit only version.

FL Studio is working as well. For me it's the best invest I made so far - and I have been spending quite a bit. Wish I had it 18 years ago! I've always been more of a musician than being the engineer. But Avenger nearly forces me to learn a lot about the technical aspects of music since it's due to the visual feedback all just so straight in your face!

Sometimes I wish Vengeance products were coded windows-only. I recently made a project template with a single instance of 16 stereo multichannel Phalanx and when transport is on, a closed-window, no sample loaded Phalanx takes 20% CPU (!!!) in Logic Pro X. On a busy project, when opening the window to tweak things, overloads occur instantly. Avenger is way more complicated than Phalanx so if this one never got a proper fix, I can see the same fate for Avenger on macOS.

I've always wondered about this... The developers of Nuke (video editing software) mentioned on their website, that the performance on Mac was significantly lower than on Linux/Windows. But how could this be, when all three OS's run on the same Intel processors? Are the kernels in Win and Linux just written more efficiently? There's a mystery here, considering Macs are generally more expensive, and then Linux is a freeware OS.

Video editing (and CAD) software may rely on workstation video cards like Quadro series for example - these are nowhere to be found in newer macs hence Nuke dev's statement. However, when a plug-in eats half of a gaming GPU just by sitting on screen, that's just unoptimised coding :)

What apple does with the MacOs updates is a mess. Many problems are caused by them. We (and many other devs) hope for a Sierra update soon

The most affected when macOS gets updated are the devs which provide plug-ins or apps that rely on drivers & kernel extensions. I don't believe even for a second that Avenger works flawlessly on some of the previous OS X versions.

Edit: The devs at Rapid made the same thing (badly optimised GUI) when I tried the demo. Steve Duda is working on a scalable Serum since August and is still not released yet - and when it'll be out I'm sure it will work just fine as the current version does. So it's really about proper coding, nothing else.

I'm using El Cap, not Sierra.
