Mine is: A Tribute to N J P by Sakamoto Ryuichi. It's a live recording during one of his concerts. Gorgeous mixture of modern jazz and 19th century impressionism. What a genius.

Not sure if my favorite, but some of my earliest favorites -- I'd probably have to say Asia's "Only Time Will Tell" and the solo in "Here Comes The Feeling." I think this was the album that got me into synths.

After that, the Hammond solo in "Roll With The Changes" by REO Speedwagon.

Cam Hawkins!!

Man, I can remember seeing FM as a 2 piece in that tiny room upstairs from the Gasworks (the Forge, maybe?)in Toronto doing Baba O'Rielly with a Rhythm Ace drumming. At the Gasworks proper on that same evening was 'Pockets', later to become 'Saga', when Pete Rochon was still in the band and they basically a field testing opportunity for the PolyMoog (Rochon was a Moog product specialist). Crap...what a memory rush...

BTW, you going to Nash's live soundtrack playing to Nosferatu at the Rue Morgue festival this coming weekend?

Eddie Jobson's synth work and violin playing on UK's records are fantastic, imo. The climax of "Carry No Cross" is spellbinding. I also like the tune "In the Dead of Night".
