Is there a bug with the GUI resizing? When I change the height and click apply nothing changes. Any idea why?

You mean changing the ui_height in the KGM main script? In Kontakt 5 there is a limit of 540 pixels for the height. That has changed in version 5.6.

Got it now, I had to reload the instrument in Kontakt 5 to see it as it should. Thanks!

I've gone from barely being able to understand konkakt beyond the library tab and quickload, to making my own custom instruments for various projects - this software is fantastic, so well done!

One question, and this may be because I'm using it in Sierra (it takes a few attempts to load without crashing both on Sierra and the latest El Cap) but the sequencer object doesn't seem to do much. I can't edit the steps, range, bar fields. It's set to 'sequencer enable' but changing it in the kontakt instrument isn't affecting anything.

Am I missing something, or is this feature incomplete until version 1.0 release?

Great job on the software - I'm surprised it's not been shouted about more on forums like vi-control and gearslutz.

Thanks! Glad to hear you´re enjoying it :D

To be honest, i still don´t have a clue why it crashes at startup. Running Yosemite here very well without any issue. I´m surprised though that it does launch on Sierra.

The sequencer should already work out of the box. I will have a look to see what could be the issue. If you want, send the script file (the main one in the "project/resources/scripts/KGM_Script1.txt") to questions(at)rigid-audio.com so that i can have a look.

Thanks!

I'm on Win 7 with iLok without any problems. KGM 0.98 too.

Ok Science, thanks for confirming.

It must be somthing though because I can reliably reproduce this scenario, over and over.

Several issues arise actually, Kontakt will act very sluggish, REAPER will default to its stock skin and no ilok programs will launch with "can't find attached protection coponent, OS error0x03" as a pop up. It happens with vst and standalone ilok programs. Ilok License manager will not launch either. All happens after KGM has been run.

I just found that Live complains about an error while opening the Rewire system after running and closing KGM. Nothing else had been run since reboot except KGM (then closed) then Live.

I restart, everythings OK. I start KGM, close KGM, the issues return.

Its probably a system config issue (updates or somthing), but only happens with KGM and none of my other programs.

Did you update Windows 7 lately? I've had various stability issues in the past on Win 7 and updating the system really helped. Otherwise, it could be a conflict between KGM and another programs. I have Ableton Live, Renoise, Reaper & Kontakt 5 on my system and don't experience any issues so far. So it could be something else?

This must be indeed something else. Weird!
All that KGM does (system-wise) is reading and writing to a text file...

Well if you are not experiencing them then it must be my system and compatability. Thanks for confirmation.

I cannot change my set up for one program, so I guess I move on, sadly.

Anybody wanna buy a slick gui maker for the world's most popular sampler? Just kidding. I'll wait to see where development goes.

Rigid Audio, I found what KGM is doing to cause the system problems I've described above (or at least part)

It is deleting my temp directory from appdata/local upon closing KGM. I observe it happening every time. I can manually recreate the directory and everything is back to normal, but start up KGM then close KGM deletes my temp directory, not the contents of the temp directory, but the folder itself.

Is this what you intended?

I actually like the program you've created, needs some polish which is normal for beta, but is really a great way for me to put an interface on some of these instruments i've been creating over the last few years and ive learned quite abit about Kontakt scripting unintentionally.

I support your efforts! (Obviously)

I see. Actually, that´s not intended. I know that it might read/write to/from there as well but it of course shouldn´t erase the whole directory :o I will investigate.

Thanks for the kind words. The release is almost done - unfortunately and as always, there are so many last-minute-bugs that need to be fixed here that we´re a bit behind the release date.
KGM 1.0 should be ready within a few days now.

Setting the system permission to deny the deleting of the temp folder solves the problem.

Thanks for letting us know. Will put that into the FAQ section :)

Sorry to keep you waiting so long in terms of Kontakt GUI Maker: lots of last-minute-ideas to implement, hourly new bugs to fix and a lot of stuff behind the scenes to manage.

But you can enjoy KGM v1.0 in a few days with these features confirmed:
* 1.0:
- added: Group enable/disable actions (Located in library/actions/groups).
- added: Multisample mode enable/disable action (Located in library/actions/miscellaneous).
- added: Text Edit UI Type.
- added: Level Meter UI Type.
- added: Waveform display UI Type with on-screen resizing.
- added: Group selection menu for UI items (all, single, range).
- added: Library scrollbar.
- added: 20 new action scripts.
- added: Tooltip for library items displaying the full filename and assigned action.
- added: Scroll action script box entries using arrow keys or page up/down.
- added: Randomization feature for up to four different control layers.
- added: Image Menu Generation: IR (impulse response file) readout.
- added: Installer for Windows and OSX.
- added: Labelling of UI controls with automatic image generation from text.
- added: Bake (render) label UI items into wallpaper background.
- added: Rudimentary bus mute and solo actions.
- added: Text label item (editable on-screen text).
- added: Gliding and Arpeggiator via external scripts.
- fixed: Text entries not being read out correctly.
- fixed: Fixed some item renaming errors.
- fixed: Pressing <SPACE> would open the action script box and crash KGM.
- fixed: Mouse Behaviour readout error when using negative values.
- changed: Library has been sorted by type.
- changed: Improved launch speed.

Also, a few new PNG controls will be included as well (more knobs and faders).

v1.1 will feature hopefully multiscript support, Kontakt 5.6 support for bigger screen sizes and new X/Y-control plus more UI types (filesystem and so on).
Also a project-management is planned where you can load a custom project upon launching KGM.

Stay tuned.
