Apologies for my noob question, coming from Live I was looking for an "External Instrument" plugin to sequence my external gear. How do I go about this in T5? I managed to send Midi but I need to route back the audio signal as well.... quite similar to the "Audio from" drop down menu in Live's "External Instrument".

You need to route tha audio through your audio card and/or create a rack fillter with inputs for each input if you have mulitiple inputs then assign an instance(copy and paste) to each channel. To record set the drop down to the audio channel that your external instruments are on in your audio card.
