Hi ! I Just ordered a pair of Munro Eggs 100 speakers.
These speakers are pretty expensive (about 2000 euros) but they are very small (4 inch).
So, I Will not have sub frequencies with them, and so I would like to buy a subwoofer.
I can't put a lot of money on it (maximum 300 euros), and I saw a second hand Krk sub to sell for That price.
Question : Is it a good subwoofer ?
Precedently I used Rokit 6 G3, and I hate them because they are all but neutral...With hyped lf.
So, does their sub have the same problem, or are they really good for monitoring ?
Thanks.

The freq chart shows bass rolls off below 55 Hz or so. I tend to think that's quite normal, even highly respectable for 4" !!
Try without a sub for a while. Unless you are overly & anally obsessed with the lowest octave only.

Sound On Sound say the bass response is excellent on these monitors.

I use a sub in my system. Its a really old Genelec 1091A, and compliments my Genelec monitors perfectly. I'd see if SE recommend a particular sub for your monitors and get that, even if its more expensive.

Do you guys speak about the Egg100 or Egg150 ?
Egg150 have bass, but it is a larger model than the 100.
I think that as said BertKoor, I should try before buying a subwoofer, but the lack of sub may make me doing errors while mixing.

Even with small speakers that have good bass response, no matter how good, it simply can not substitute for a subwoofer, especially if you produce any kind of bass heavy music. I am not familiar with the KRK, so can not comment on that unfortunately.
