I activate the loop icon and set my range in the ruler lane but it doesn't loop. Don't laugh, I'm very new to Cubase. What am I missing...

Have you placed the marker inside the loopable area too?

yes, I defined the loop area, activated loop and when I play, it doesn't loop as you see here. The transport marker was inside the loop when I started playback and played beyond the designated loop area.

Your left and right locators are backwards. Position of the left locator is 5.2.1.0 and the right is 2.3.3.0. Swap them.

This is a feature - it enables you to skip a section...

Just curious, what is the usefulness of this feature? Does Cubase allow you to play the song in reverse i it's entirety,or?

Thank you Googly Smythe, I havent noticed that ever happening in Studio One, but it actually sounds useful now that you mention it! I will see if it's possible.
