It's so f*king annoying to have apps startup in ReWire mode when I'm using Cubase. And no, opening one after the other is not the solution I'm looking for.

How do I permanently delete rewire without removing reason? If I delete ReWire.dll it comes back up. It's almost like malware.

I wish I could remove it too, so that I can have two audio apps or versions of live running.

I know no-one that uses it anymore.

It's a largely useless tech for me from the last century that should only be installed or activated by choice, if and when required.

Would love to know how to disable/remove it from OSX.

You can disable Rewire Master in Ableton Live w/ a config file, I think that means that Rewire is not installed system-wide, it is the DAW that has to implement turning it on/off.

Indeed. I completely agree. And what's sad is seeing software implementing it as a new feature NOW

I'd like to know who is using it currently.

Yes 0 I tried it and it seems to work, BUT ReWire.dll gets created again, regardless.

However Reason and Live now open in Non-rewire mode (great!). Weird.

I use it on occasion. No issues, easy to ignore in Live and de-activate in Logic.

Can someone PLEASE figure out how to remove this damn malware?

I want to use Reason in a sound-design environment, alongside my host and not have to worry about sequencer chasing, routing, etc. PLEASE!

How do you remove ReWire completely?
