Fixed in next version !Charlie Firpo wrote:Thanks for the update Uvi! Falcon is amazing! I was gonna do some audiorate modulation on the pitch with the multisegment envelope, so i deleted all points (to start fresh) and when trying to zoom in, falcon crashed. Start Falcon in default, add analog osc to keygroup. Modulate pitch with multisegment. Shift+right klick to remove all points and zoom.(tried both in renoise and studioOne, vst version, win10) this is no showstopper since you always work with atleast one point, but i thought atleast i should put it out here. Maybe someone else could try this? Thanks!

Thanks for the update UVI but I'm a little disappointed that you didn't add an UNDO function again
Please, are we ever going to have UNDO in Falcon? Seriously, this is the only thing that keeping me away from using Falcon and it really hurts when i think about how much money i paid for it! It's just impossible to work in big projects and do sound design, the only way to work with no major problems in a big project is with presets... PLEASE UVI, this is a basic feature, I personally don't know any other VST(i) or music program in general other than Bitwig (only for VST's) and Falcon that doesn't have an undo function...

This thread is 264 pages long and at some point this must have been discussed but I can't go though 264 pages right?
. I want to know....is Falcon worth €349 when already own Omnisphere 2, Morphestra and K10 Ultimate with all the related (or not) instrument it includes?
No doubt it sounds awesome but honestly, a lot of the presets I've heard in various videos seems like something you'd be able to come up with in Omni as well. I'm not a sound designer and I'm pretty sure I'll get lost with too many options in an instrument (I'm learning Omni though, slowly but surely
).
Undoubtedly, I don't need it but synths are like a drug to me

So should we talk you into Falcon or out of Falcon?K-Bee wrote:This thread is 264 pages long and at some point this must have been discussed but I can't go though 264 pages right?. I have to test further but it seems I have a problem in the new Falcon:
my QuNexus seems to lose 1/ the lights in the keys (not the settings at the left-hand side) and 2/ with it also the ability to use said keys.
This does not happen with other synths like for example Chromaphone.
But when after Falcon I switch to Chromaphone, I get sound but no lighting keys.
And I cannot remember having had this with previous versions of Falcon.
As said: I must investigate further. But perhaps someone has something similar.
(please don't start a discussion on QuNexus here)

But that doesn't mean it's worthwhile for me actually owning it. That's what I'm trying to find out by asking here. Will I benefit from Falcon when already owning what I mentioned above. Is there anyone here that has both Falcon and Omnisphere?
Dammit! I just knew you were gonna say that!EvilDragon wrote:Yes.

I don't have Omnisphere 2, and you do, but I were to choose between the two, I would choose Falcon. It offers more and is cheaper. Of course, since you already own Omnisphere (which is, undoubtedly, a great instrument), you will probably have some redundancies, but that's true also for Komplete, and yet you bought it.K-Bee wrote:

In Falcon, you get a very good wavetable synth (which Omnisphere isn't) and perhaps the best granular synth currently available (again, AFAIK, Omnisphere isn't on pair with this). Besides, you have a monstruous modular capacity, and the best FX in ANY virtual instrument. Also, you have some other synth engines that Omnisphere doesn't have (Pluck, for example, and FM, even if it's a little limited). And you have more filter options than in Omnisphere too.
What I have to say is that, IMO, Falcon is the most complete virtual instrument currently available, so, I would not exchange it for anything else.

Thanks Fernando. That was a very good answer and helps me decide since I now know a bit more of the cons and pros

Falcon can indeed do a lot more as Omnisphere but Omnisphere comes with much much much more sound sources to play with and also is better in some areas.
Then there is Keyscape f.e. (if you have it not already) which is just awesome together with Omnisphere 2.
But if you want to create your own multi-sampled stuff, have a good cpu and want a make it all (but not all perfect) tool Falcon is the best i could imagine yet.
It depends of what you like to do. Don´t expect Falcon to come with so much presets or sound sources. I also find Omnisphere has better performence options in general if you play/record live.
No one can decide for you from what you will get more value.
Both have a place for me (but Omnisphere is just the better package for me f.e.).
And for sure both are monster synths.

Some feature request from me, if I may:
"fake" unisono (for save CPU) on Keygroup level. Something like Propellerhead Reason have module unison 16 (with 4, 8 and 16 voices). And this module will have similar settings, from 2 voices to 16 or 32 voices will be great (stereo / mono options are welcome too) with unisono detune curve with linear as default setting. Also maybe quality settings, that can produce different timbre or sound. For example Dune 1 have some not real unisono for osc1 and osc2 with 7 voices. New Dune2 have I think better quality but it sounds different - for example I can not reproduce on Dune 2 with one osc, with 7 voices, unisono sound as in Dune 1 with one osc.
And one LFO bug:
If bipolar is off, delay + raise is used for example 1s and Phase is on 0.25 or 0.75, LFO allways start at phase 0, then suddenly it jump on the desired phase and it produce "click" - it depends where it is used. For example you can hear it when you use LFO for pitch(12 semitons and maximum depth on LFO) or Filter.

If you like to program your own patches, then definitely. If you don't, then probably not.K-Bee wrote:is Falcon worth €349 when already own Omnisphere 2, Morphestra and K10 Ultimate with all the related (or not) instrument it includes?
Falcon has some cool libraries, and no doubt more are on the way... but it's not like you're short on sounds at this point.

Please upload a simple patch that exhibits the issue so I can have a look.Oberheim 8000 wrote: If bipolar is off, delay + raise is used for example 1s and Phase is on 0.25 or 0.75, LFO allways start at phase 0, then suddenly it jump on the desired phase and it produce "click" - it depends where it is used. A big +1 to Falcon and to Omnisphere as well. As mentioned above, Falcon is deeper than Omnisphere, but Omni has more patches, presets and sound libraries available for it so if you are afraid of getting your hands dirty, maybe Omnisphere is best.
That being said, both together cover most everything you'd want to do with Falcon being the most robust as far as possibilities long term...
