Take three (or more!) of those useless ultra-thin plectrums you get and super-glue em together. edit: leave the business ends unglued so you get a sort of brush type action.
Then take your top-E string on yer box/plank and tune it down to B (same as the B string funnily enough)
You may have to adjust some of your chord fingerings.
Try 3-2-0-0-3-3 (edit: whoops 7 strings!) for a G. C open works good (dunno what it is now tho) and used with care a Am shaped bar chord is wonderfully dischordant!
Go onto street and busk "The Mission (UK)" songs until you have enough to buy a real 12 string! Oh and a f**king tuner.

or you can glue the bodies of two guitars together forming a makeshift double neck
measure the distance from fretboard to fretboard
get 5 thin but strong sticks of wood
get 4 round shaped pieces of gum eraser
cut the sticks to match the previously measured distance
glue 2 plectrums on either side of one of the stick
glue one eraser gum to one end of each remaining sticks
glue the other sides of the sticks to the top of the fingers of your fretting hand, one stick for each finger
stand in front of the mirror and look like a complete dork

That's the point where I need help! As far as assembled already, there is no remaining stick on my sidespaceman wrote:... glue one eraser gum to one end of each remaining sticks ...
Should I shorten the eraser gums before glueing the sticks to the plecs?
Is there a manual available?
