Not really, If I want to buy "Never Mind the Bollocks", I don't want "Dark Side of the Moon"

Know what I mean.

Synapse Audio set out to make a product, based on a framework.

Going outside that framework, it is better to ask for another synth, or to check out their other synths like Dune II or AntiDote to see if they can fit the bill.

SA opened that can themselves by adding anything beyond the original. So, where to the draw the line now?

Maybe a Model 15 would be a good start.

This could then be further developed into a full blown System 55...
Why would you even bring up hardware ? I sold my analog synths long ago.......

Is the request for a new VSTi synth that controversial ? If it is I better never see anyone here asking for anything again........
What?

You said "I'd love to see another synth that has the same "Mojo", to which i replied "A Model 15 would be a good start and a System 55 could follow".

So considering that you were asking for other moog emulations with the same mojo, what do you think i meant to suggest?

Coughing up ten or thirtyfive grand for the hardware?

A souped up Legend could only increase the sonic capabilities in hand.
Wouldn't be a minimoog clone any more, but that's all right, isn't it? Whatever works and pays the bills.
Thank you. :) I don't understand why the drama by some here although I guess they feed off of it....

Yes who cares if a souped up Legend is no longer a MM clone. I don't even care if it's a clone of anything specific.

The thing is that some of the feature requests made in this thread can not be added to The Legend because of space constraints on the Rack Extension version and Synapse's desire to keep the VSTi / AU and R.E versions compatible. Adding a lot of those feature requests would require the GUIs to be reworked so instead of going through all that just call The Legend a (mostly) finished product and work on adding the requested features to a new synth. I think it would sell well given the popularity The Legend seems to have garnered.

I can't see how that idea could generate controversy here but it is KVR. Of course Synapse is going to do what they think is best and rightfully so. Only they can say how much work those added features would create and whether it would make sense financially. Anyway what ever comes next from Synapse is fine with me. They've never released a bad product so I'll be interested in whatever they release.

You kidding right ? :o Warm ?

Ok give me a while I have to boot the studio computer.

We are asking for another synth. The Legend is great as is. As a Minimoog clone with a few extra features.

Now that's out of the way...would be nice to have extended, brand new synth, that's like a modern polysynth, but with The Legend's filler, envelopes, and oscillators...Just with lots of extras. New product. New synth. Same great filters. Same great oscillators. Same great envelopes. New product. Lots of extra new features.

Personally, whatever Synapse does with Legend is fine with me. Only thing I'd prefer is if the didn't mess with the basic front panel so that it still basically looked like a Minimoog. If they want to add stuff, put it either in the back panel or add tabs. The simplicity of the UI is one of the things I like about the Minimoog when I want to do something really quick. I don't want to have to wade through a ton of controls.

Not really. I'd buy the Legend if I wanted a straight MM clone as it's at or close to the top of the field, but despite it's acclaimed quality, it's a limited synth.
Give me that same sonic quality with an expanded feature set, then that would greatly enhance it's versatility and increase it's overall worth to me.
How would having the choice of a Legend and variant be a bad thing?

I don't care about the original concept or framework.

You are some enigma for sure :hihi:

You have been asking for another synth from Synapse, but whatever they make is fine with you :nutter:

So why are you not happy with The Legend as it is now? :?

Point me to where I asked for a Moog emulation or any emulation for that matter.
