MiniMoog which Legend is an emu of is of the previous century. DUNE II is of this millenium.
I think Teksonic was correct.
The username is Teksonik. Better learn to spell correctly before you call other drunk :hihi:
And again, rummy, Dune 2 doesn't sound like the Legend, where as a Legend expanded certainly would.
You're just arguing back without even understanding the words or the meaning of the words. Yes, the MM is from a previous century, and I want those great sound found in The legend expanded with modern add ons from today. How simple is that to follow? It's only been pointed out by a dozen people numerous times.
I think we are, like you were a couple of halves of shandys ago, totally done here. :drunk:

If Legend expanded certainly would sound like Dune 2, then you have answered your own question. :dog:

Come on, it was obvious what he meant, namely "... certainly would sound like Legend".

I'm keeping out of this. Wow, just wow.

As simple as this?
Aliens wrote: The plug sounds great but is still basically a limited minimoog.
With the sound and extra features it would be much more purchasable.

I don't want Dune 2 or any other synth, regardless of their feature sets, because it and they don't sound like The Legend.
Simple enough?

You still haven't answered why having a choice of Legend and Legend X is a bad thing.
Right, I'm off to try oddity 2, the expanded odyssey plug. :tu:

That kind degorative remark should get you banned :x

You have said twice three times already that you are better than this thread, so why do you keep on posting? :hihi:
totally done here.

Please don't make it all about you.
Let the people enjoy talking about this great sounding synth, including feature requests and wish lists, without your word games, deliberate dumbness and intransigent posturing.

As a final request, if Richard does think about doing an expanded Legend, will someone pm me and let me know. Ta :tu:

Out. 8)

I know I should keep out of this but here goes. Short and to the point.

The Legend and Dune 2 have completely different sound engines. That's what makes them sound different.

If you took the same sound engine of The Legend and added say...

Another LFO
A high pass filter
A modulation matrix that actually allowed you to modulate the filter with mod wheel
16 note polyphony

Just those few things for starters, it would still sound like the Legend because it would still have the same sound engine.

Now, at some point, depending on what you add, yes, you could make the synth sound totally different from The Legend. But I don't think anybody is asking for that. I think they want the same sound engine with a little more functionality. That's all.

Dune 2 is a completely different animal with 8 voices that can each be programmed individually.

You'll never get The Legend to sound like Dune 2 without doing a major overhaul.

That isn't what people want.

So Synapse Audio didn't do proper market research before releasing The Legend, failing to catch what people want?

Do you realize the market has more than one segment ? No you obviously don't.

Why don't you go pollute another thread for awhile ?

You must educate us then.

From somebody that has been harrasing me for several years about being a forum cop or whatever, that is clutching at straws, what a sad loser :hihi:

I mean, if you can't call other users nuts or whatever degorative term, what have you got. Oh yeah, it is always the other guy doing the "pollution" :P

According to info, Dune II is a VA "with a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, DUNE 2 is a true unison monster, unlikely to ever run out of oscillators."

So seems like a good match for anybody wanting more voices/polyphony/unison.
