I have diva too, it has dense thick sound, but it eats my cpu. I can not use this more than 2 instance on full project (about 30~40tracks). but suarus is very kind for my cpu while still authentic sound to me. Diva has a little bit more dense sound in some sounds, but i would not get that difference at the cost of dead cpu since saurus sounds good enough to me. And furthermore, in the whole mix, yeah..
But for some cases, i'm sure diva still takes its own place, yes irreplaceable for its own.
In conclusion, Saurus 2 is the great underrated for me.
I don't think it is suitable for everyone, especially those who want aggressive EDM sounds. But if you like old school vintage sound, maybe you like it more than other big competitives. (or not, it is matter of taste
FYI, Serum is very plain EDM synth to me, it sounds ok-ish, but I don't need it since i don't do EDM. I don't like its bass sounds.
and Zebra is mediocre, just ok sound-wise for me.(but it has possibilities for complex sound making!)
I like TAL synths much more.
I think People who like me tends to favor saurus.
And i believe it is bang for buck since you can take it for aboit $83 or something like that on audiodeluxe.
Cheers,
SOHN.
