No offense Fluff, but you really can be a royal PITA. I'm just immune to you by now. In fact, I'm immune to all the PITAs since the New Years. I just don't let anything bother me anymore unless I see somebody giving another member a hard time. That still ticks me off. But me personally, eh. Just don't care what people say to me anymore. Which is why I had no trouble posting the patches I uploaded to DropBox here. I was expecting some ragging. Oddly, there was none, which really surprised me. I guess people realize they can't get to me anymore and so they didn't bother.

That's funny and odd, because I am actually rather friendly here towards both of you, which is not easy, given what I actually think about you at times But I am a friendly guy, so I try to keep that to myself...

Nobody's saying you're rude or anything. At least I'm not. I'm just saying you're a royal PITA. You complain about everything. Synths you have absolutely no interest in, like this one, you complain about this and that and whatever. And it doesn't stop. It's like pages and pages of complaints. We get that you don't like this synth (or whatever synth it is you're complaining about) It doesn't have to go on for 50 pages.

And you know what? I was the same way for a long time. But I'm done with that. I don't like a synth? I say my peace once, explain what I don't like and move on.

If you think I'm kidding, take a look at all the threads on the first page here that I'm not participating in. There's just not enough hours in the day to bitch about everything I don't like over and over and over again.

It's why I earned that reputation I did and why I will probably never get rid of it in spite of my change in attitude. But at least I'm trying.

Anyway, it's your life. It's an open forum. And as long as you don't violate any rules, you can say whatever you want as often as you want.

You really need to learn to read. I said, I don't care what people say to me. I didn't say I don't care about anything. I care about issues. I care about right and wrong. I care about technology advances. But you can call me the biggest jackass in the world and I don't give a crap. I'm not getting into the whole "Mommy he called me a bad word" crap and start cursing people out like I used to. You guys just aren't worth the effort.

If I didn't care about anything anymore, I wouldn't be here. I'd chuck this whole place. But I do have things I care about, especially when other members are attacked. I will come to their defense.

But myself personally? You can't get to me. You were so surprised when I didn't pick up on your compliment about my presets as sarcasm. After you told me it was, I couldn't care less. I did what I set out to do (post my soundbank link) and waited for the fallout. I was actually surprised that there wasn't really any. Which is why I said, I guess people realize they just can't get to me anymore.

So by all means, waste your time with another witty comeback to try to make me look stupid or whatever.

It was not pages of complaints as you say, there were I think 3 or 4 specific criticisms, not even complaints as that would imply an amount of involvement on my part that is just not there, because I just don't care enough:
- I don't like the polyphonic pad sound
- I don't like the voice stealing
- I don't like the way the volume comes and goes in waves

All the rest simply evolved from people's disagreement with those criticisms.

I posted this yesterday before the polyphony discussion and the new trouble started, might be a good starting point to get back on topic (as nobody replied to it i deleted it from the original place):


Just had a look at the official website for The Legend. While this does not seem to be fully updated yet concerning the feature descriptions at the website and also the news section (while the news for te update were published with a newsletter, at Facebook and also here at the KVR news) there is the updated demo version and also the screenshots were updated. The manual was updated with the new features in v1.10 too.

As others mentioned here the demo time is also reset if you use the new version now which is great for those who want to check the demo again after it expired with earlier versions.
The demo only contains a fraction of the factory presets that now are around 480 in the full version.

One thing not directly mentioned in the manual is that the Glide/portamento also works in the Poly-4 mode.

What's the point of glide/portamento with polyphonic sounds? The results are often odd, regardless of the synth.
For instance when I play the same two notes up and down the keyboard, the glide direction seems to be wrong at times, i.e. as I go down on the keyboard, the pitch bend sometimes comes from below rather than above.
